Political correctness would me whining about racism or sexism or some imagined insult etc. in Sonnen's comments and demand that the courts/society etc. clamp down on it. That's not what I'm doing. I believe in free speech and free thought and I'm certainly not asking courts to fine Sonnen or make him issue an apology for hurting women's/brazilian's feelings etc. He is free to say whatever the hell he wants and I'm free to think he's an idiot for saying it.
You guys seem to be confused about the idea of free speech. Just because I agree with his right to say something doesn't mean I have to agree with what he's saying. If someone talks sexual shit about another guy's wife, the husband has full rights to knee his smug face into pancake.
Besides, political correctness has nothing to do with disliking a guy for blatantly cheating and roiding. That's illegal and unfair to the real warriors who don't use that crutch. If anything, you guys are the ones being politically correct with this "hey, leave him alone, everyone's different, we don't know the full story about his steroids, don't judge" blah blah ... that's what political correctness is. Whining about "not judging" when clearly someone has done wrong, legally and by the sports rules.
Freedom doesn't mean lack of accountability.
