Lyoto most certainly poses an interesting challenge to Jon Jones with his interesting in and out style and to count him out wouldn't be smart on any ones part.

With that being said, I think Jon Jones is probably going win a 3-5 rd (T)KO. I just think Jones reach and speed is going to be too much for Machida to try and overcome.

Well I already placed my first $20 bet on Lyoto for two to one odds even though it's 3:1 with the bookies. Planning on making some more bets...it's as good as any for Lyoto!

Seriously?

If anything like I mentioned on another forum. Machida is gonna be swinging his hips to used his "one striking" style. Kicking Bones' legs but there is one problem.

For every kick Machida try to throw, Jones gonna back him up with a jab. Then he'll be stalling and thinking of what to do.

For anybody thinking Machida's other method is getting within clinch distance and striking. Let see.. unpredictable back fists, spinning elbows, push kick.

If you wants to see Machida's last known fight in the clinch distance. Re-watch the Rampage fight and you will see Machida is lost for ideas of what to do. Rampage just shutted down his game. Its wasn't like Couture's match where he had the distance to used his favourite weapon, leg kicks.

Once you eliminated his strike distance for kicks, he's not strong with his hands. Sure, you can point out his win over Rashad but Machida isn't the same after Shogun exposed his game and beat him in every category in both fight.

Machida will be a gate keeper soon. His run for the title is finish because we don't see any wrestling from him nor BJJ or anything that make a point saying.. 'Hey guys, I'm evolving.. with the sports' Instead, he'll keep being the same and slippin' on his pee juice.

Just my 2 cents.

I think the 1st two rounds are going to be boring simply because they will wait to counter,Jones will not spend a lot of time on the feet in my opinion its going to be swift TD's and brutal G'n'p before a submission.
I certainly think Machida has a small chance of winning but only by TKO/ KO, if i was going to put money on it of course i would go with my opinion on how Jones wins.

Really? Rampage, Sonnen, Koschek, Sonnen, Rashad, Sonnen, Penn, Sonnen, Lesner, Sonnen, Ortiz,...and lets not forget Sonnen. That's a short list of cocky fighters. JBJ is downright modest compared to them. And considering everyone in the universe is telling him he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, AND he's destroyed anyone to ever step in the cage with him, it's suprising he isn't WAY mre cocky and arrogant than he is

I give Machida a legit chance. He and Rashad are the Last Ones. Jones is a tough nut to crack but these guys present interesting problems for him. Machida can expose Jones' striking and Rashad can expose his ground game.

Machida's isn't going to just stand there and allow Jones' to get creative. He is going to create angles and strike at the slightest opportunities, so if I were Jones, I would NOT stand with Machida. That said, Jones has the ability to take the fight where ever he wants. I imagine there to be a tie up and that's the game Machida will lose.

Machida's got really good takedown defense, but I don't know if it will be good enough to stop Jones' clinch game. If Jones shoots, I Machida will definitely stuff him, but if he greco's him then I can see Machida is trouble unless he is good at getting up from his back. But I think Jones gets to decide where he wants the fight to take place so that will win him the fight. I will be rooting for The Dragon but it's bullshit that Rashad isn't fighting for the title, man..
