+rep for that response, took the words right from my mouth. since when does foot stomping and athleticism go hand in hand? i think that being able to elbow on the ground is a lot better than being able to footstomp anyways, plus its not like Shogun is infamous for finishing fights with footstomps all the time

What a stud

I think that he would be a great addition to a nice LHW class inthe UFC. I think that he would be a very exciting fighter with UFC's rules. The elbows are a HUGE weapon that he would be able to use. I've said before in other threads that I'm not a fan of the kicking to the head of a downed fighter. It just doesn't feel like a sport to me when they are doing that.

With that said I think that he would have great match ups with Chuck and Babalu. Tito would get killed by him and I've yet to really see how Rashad is going to end up as a fighter, he's growning by leaps and bounds EVERY FIGHT!

Rampage would still have a rough time with him. I know that a lot of people see him as one of the top three (top two now) LHW's in the world. I think that he would have bigger challengers in the UFC.

I know that I'll get a lot of flack for that, but I believe it to be the truth.

Yeah maybe dishonorable to yoy as an American but that doesnt make it wrong. Its obviously no worse than punching a downed a opponent to the Japanese, which is were there fighting. Not everyone thing has to be Americanized to be good.

Its not like Shogun just stands over a defenseless opponent and stomp his face in. He leaps over there guard and hits them right on the money everytime like jdun said. If there was no skill involved everyone who tries to do it all the time would be as succesful with it as Shogun and thats just not the case.
