New Timmy Theory

Before I begin, just want to say that I am a paid-up member of the Timmy backlash-backlash. Awkward- yes, Defensive fighter in last two fights- yes, Sharted before a fight- yes, Kind of fat- yes, Skilled and dangerous fighter- reluctantly, yes.

But obviously not amongst the very best.

So why does he think that he is the baddest man on the planet? This is my theory: I think it is because Pat Miletich tells him he is. As you can see in this article

MMA IS UPON US <br> THE IFL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS | Zachary Levin

Miletich has, apparently "said repeatedly that the two best heavyweights in MMA are on his team". One is Sylvia, and one is a guy called Ben Rothwell.

Anyway, I think this could explain a lot: your coach, especially an illustrious one like Miletich, is bound to have a huge influence on you, and you could easily come to believe stuff like that, especially if you were champion.

Meanwhile, the bigger question is "What is Miletich smoking?". I mean, I haven't seen Rothwell fight, but are we really expected to believe that this guy is better than Fedor, Big Nog, Cro Cop and Barnett?

I would agree with all of the above. As much as I cant stand tim as a person he is an accomplished and good fighter. But he would be demolished against many other heavyweights.

Favorite Fighters
Anderson Silva (MW)
Randy Couture (HW)
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (LHW)
Roger Huerta (LW)
Karo Parisyan (WW)

Miletich: "Hercules! Hercules!"

Mac Danzig is still on his back; his sweaty, pumped white torso is flushed with the auburn heat that auburn skin produces when it is aroused. His panting, fetching head has been pushed up against the cage by... Marc Bocek’s energetic pounding...

Rothwell is a beast...kinda like another Tim...knocks people the **** out in almost all his fights...only thing is he is still not even close to breaking the top 10. He fights losers and cans, but he definately knows how to finish a fight.

I think Tim would stand a chance against Barnett, A. Emelianenko, and even CroCop. Not saying he would win, just saying he has a good chance. But Fedor would absolutely demolish him I think. CroCop would too prolly but I think Time would at least rock him once or twice.

I agree with you. I don't think Tim would get blown away by anyone except possibly Fedor. He's a powerful and accurate striker with a long reach. Nor is he a complete mug on the ground. You would expect him to be able to give almost anyone a competitive fight. If he had quite a few matches against any of the top heavyweights (again, except possibly Fedor), given the weird and random world of MMA, you'd expect him to win a few as well.

Miletich can say what ever he wants,it wont change the facts.
tim is not a bad fighter, even though he was defencive in his last fights it still doesnt make him a bad fighter and not many in my mind can realy pose a problem for him but in no way he is the best.
i belive that barnett, crocop, fedor, big nog can beat him, those at least i'm sure of

Agree 100%- good but not up there with the really top HWs.

I just wonder why Miletich says that. Does he really believe it or is he just bigging up his boys?

would it be better if he said "i have two good hw's but not good enough to be the best"
