Congo vs Nelson verbal agreement, Ufc 143

Was looking to see Congo rematch with Velasquez,

I guess both Nelson and Congo are coming off wins, both fought on Ufc 136, both are sort of middle of the pack fighters so it makes sense.

Best heavyweight physique vs the worst, the weigh ins should be pretty comical. I can't see Big Country taking Kongo down so If this one is to be played out on the feet I see Kongo taking the decision. Kongo is very susceptable to the overhand right (see vs Mir and Barry) and this is Roys' best punch so if Kongo gets KO'd it wouldn't surpise me.

ROFLZ! Overeem might be in contention for that now, but that's hilarious...lolz! This is gonna be a funny fight. I see Kongo kneeing his belly and having doo doo come out.

Win: Doctor's stoppage

That was his "brown pride" talking after a loss. His manager said on the MMA hour that the kongo match isnt something they are looking for. They want someone who is more upper card like mir/carwin

UFC has said they have Kongo's next fight lined up and it is NOT Nelson. So this is not true.

Congo vs Nelson.... who gives a crap?

Both have potential but it's unrecognized as both also seem to have a penchant for avoiding the training they NEED for the training they're familiar with.

If congo had solid wrestling and BJJ he'd be a force to be reckoned with.... if Nelson lost about 60lbs to improve his quickness and reflexes, I think he'd also be a top-10 competitor.

This might be the UFC's way of determining which guy they want to keep on the roster as a bonafide gate keeper.

I dunno....just not terribly excited about this fight. what are the implications for the winner?.....for the loser?...i.e; who gives a crap?
