"That Japan card will be followed six days later by what is tentatively scheduled as the second FX show, from Sydney, Australia. This would be a Saturday late morning and afternoon show on March 3 broadcast in prime time March 2 in the U.S. No matches have been hinted about for the card. If this goes as planned, it would mark the first time much of the UFC crew will be stationed overseas for an extended period of time, first going to Japan early to promote and put together that show, and head to Australia immediately after the show."

I don't see anywhere it said Alves/Kampmann was the main event but to suggest Alves/Kampmann isn't main card worthy is laughable.

Why would it be have you seen the last couple of cards, fights like maia/santiago among others havent even got to the main card. Kampmann is a boring technical fighter and Alves doesn't know how to grapple, this will likely end up in another story/alves situation, and even if ti was a good fight it doesn't hold much relevance for top contenders at 170

Maia/Santiago was a PPV, this is an FX show, there's a difference.

Alves is a brown belt in ju-jitsu, he knows how to grapple obviously, and if Martin Kampmann is what you call a boring technical striker, you must think they're all boring because Kampmann's about as exciting as it gets when it comes to technical striking.

And Kampmann isn't as far away from a title shot as you'd think considering Condit and Ellenberger are the only guys GSP hasn't fought yet since he's about to fight Diaz.

The only entertaining fights Martin is in is when he is getting smashed or smashing one dimensional fighters like shields or when diego busted him up or when daley smashed him. Story vs kampmann and thiago vs kampmann were disgusting. As for Alves no he can't grapple well thats why all his losses have come by grappling influence

Like others said this is necessarily the "Main event"

The reason for you to be disappointed would be the Ufc on Fx, "Fight Night" Status after having a PPV for the last 2 years,

Alves/Kampann is on the same level Shields/Ellenberger was

Ufc Events Attended:

Ufc Fight Night: Davis Vs Nogueira, Ufc 131, Ufc 143, Ufc 148, Ufc on Fox 5, Ufc 156, Ufc on Fox 8

Dude, we got Leben vs Munoz as a main-event and Pickett vs Barao as a co-main, I don't think you can really complain about much. Australia have had 2 really good cards, especially the first one. Kampmann vs Alves could be an absolute war if it plays out as I'm sure the UFC hope, and I'd imagine you'll get some other decent fights too. This really isn't as much of a **** over as the UK got this year.
