This guy is good though at 14-7 has some work to do. Obviously very skilled but the most impressive thing to me was his apparent focus and determination in the pre-fight interviews, and at only 24 he has plenty time to dwarf his 7 losses with many more victories.

Looking forward to more great fights from Brandao.

No way in hell did I see that coming. Dude has some serious sub game on top of his knock out power. I'm thinking that he might not have a great chin though because the shot that got him wasn't even that powerful. It was more of a defensive hit (however, Diego was running into the punch so maybe that's why it was more powerful?).

SOTY imo.

sickest fight I've seen in a long time.
As you said he ran into the punch so it seemed his Diego's aggression and ability to close the distance almost worked against him in a big. But the sub was beautiful...he seems like a good guy too and I'm looking forward to what he has to offer to the division.

Wow, I have to eat my words here. Sick submission he pulled off. To be honest I thought he was done when Bermudez kept landing punches on the ground and then he just throws his legs up and Bermudez taps. Wow.

Yea, he pretty much has the typical Brazilian story. Poor family, single parent, gangster/drug dealer in the favela, turned to fighting, wants a better life for his family.

Very commendable imo.

JDS has a similar story too.

Very true, though I can't decide which one is uglier

Joking aside, very, very good fight. I'm excited to see both of these kids compete in the UFC. Diego is pretty damn fierce, and Bermudez is certainly no joke. Two solid additions and a great win by Diego.
