Did you even read my post dude? lol. I said he didn't deserve a title shot, and that him to deserve one he needs to beat Carwin or Cain, so when you say 'if thats the case he won't be getting a title shot' that pretty much backs up my statement that he doesnt deserve one.

Also i did clearly state that nog was beating him standing before he pulled out the sub O.o.

No way he should be getting a title shot now. One more win against Carwin or Cain should definitely put him there to face Reem or JDS though.

I think Carwin smashes him again and Cain damn near kills him though.

Exactly . He's always going to be a solid heavyweight, but i don't see him fighting for the title again any time soon.

to everyone claiming Mir needs to fight Carwin again before a title shot...

what do you expect him (Mir) to do? wait on the sidelines until Carwin picks up some wins?

Mir is coming off 3 wins in a row. Carwin has lost his last 2 fights.

How does this make any sense? Carwin should be fighting a lower-tier (outside of top 5) fighter next. Mir should either fight the winner of JDS/Overeem or Cain to determine who gets to fight the winner of JDS/overeem.

np, I could have probably worried it different. Bottom line... Mir's only road to the title (IMO) is through Cain.

I agree with Carwin being a step down for Mir in ranking. Mir has little to gain and everything to lose (and he will lose). If I was Mir, I'd be pushing hard for Cain. At least then you have a miracle sub chance at advancing. Which we all know he's got a knack for.

I just really can't see any way he will pass Cain, i don't even see a miracle sub happening. I definatley think it's going to be Cain challenging for the title again soon.

Here is just my 2 cents!

Mir has not lost a fight that did not have a title on the line since UFC 65 (still recovering from the motorcycle crash). He has won 3 in a row, the longest in the UFC of any contender. (AO only has one win the UFC)

So does he deserve a title shot? Just as much as anybody else does. I think Cain, Reem and Mir all deserve a shot at the tittle, Cain and Mir even more then Reem.

I also dont think the Carwin fight makes much sense. Carwin needs to string a few together to be in the mix again!

Reem will probably get a quick shot, but I would like to see him beat somebody who is legit and motivated before he gets a title shot!

Just my 2 cents!
