I'd rather see Reem vs JDS than Cain.... so I'm ok with the quick run to the title for Reem.

Other than Overeem his the closest fighter to the title shot. Should he win his next one, he'd be the undisputed #1 contender without a doubt. So far his in a 3 fight win streak with wins over Cro Cop, Nelson and Big Nog.

Whatever happens, i hope i see Werdum-Mir at one point.

Cain vs Mir.

I think thats a fight everyone could enjoy.

Mir might be able to outbox Cain. Cain takes it to the ground maybe Mir will have some tricks.

Regardless, Mir needs to prove he can beat a superheavy before he gets a shot again.

honestly this really does make sense. i'd say either this or he needs to fight carwin again. but where is carwin as far as contender status goes? i'm not so sure that he needs to go back that far after winning 3 in a row. with the streak he certainly is in the mix for a shot soon that is for sure, so let him and cain go at it for the new #1 contender i suppose.

and to whoever said mir vs werdum, please yes! someday I would absolutely love to watch this fight.

People say Mir looked poorly against Nog and uses that as the basis for him not getting a title shot. However, in the end he still won impressively. Just the fact that he was able to keep his composure and still pull out a submission victory over a guy who has never been submitted speaks a lot about his worthiness for a title shot..

As for Shane Carwin what exactly did he do to deserve Mir? Yeah he beat him 2 years ago but has lost two times and been absence since then. Mir beat two legends and Roy Nelson (Solid Fighter).

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Quick answer is no.

He beats Cro Cop and Nelson. Not really top guys. Beats Nog who was up there but still behind some guys. He needs to beat guys like Cain or Carwin first then I'd say give him a shot after that.

Carwin is a good fight for him again but doesn't make much sense, Mir is 3-0 currently and Carwin 0-2.

Not sure who Mir fights. There is no one left. I don't care for a Carwin fight again. Cain has Bigfoot and Werdum has Roy.

Give Mir the winner of Corimer/Barnett for a title shot.

Cain is fighting Bigfoot next. If he wins, have him fight the winner or Roy/Werdum.

In the mean time the loser of JDS/Overeem can fight the loser of Corimer/Barnett.

Why does he have to prove he can beat a super heavy? The man holding the title weighs 235 lbs. Cain who just had the title weighs 240 lbs. Who cares if he can beat a huge HW when Brock retired, Carwin is about done with his career, and Overeem isn't some big wrestler who will out muscle you.

I don't get it.
