I know a lot of people don't like Bisping but c'mon, after tonight people have to give him the respect he rightfully deserves as a fighter. Pretty much everyone thought he was going to be run through by the Chael train but that obviously wasn't the case. Bisping is definitely a top 5 MW in the UFC. He proved he wasn't a cake walk, kudos to him

I still have Stann above Bisping. I don't see him as top 5. I was impressed by his performance. I think most of it was because his style matched up well to Chael's.

Seems like Bisping is better against ground fighters than he is vs strikers. Silva, Hammil and Hendo were able to outstrike him on the feet and Hammil is not known for his striking while Silva is shot.
Bisping matched up well vs Sonnen, but he was lucky it was a 3 rounder - when we got to a point where both were tired Sonnens takedowns and ground skills won the day.

I am bisping hater, but i'll give the man his propz...he is a top 5 mw. Put him at number 4-5, facts are the man has lost to 4 guys in his career. 3 of them will end up in the hall of fame, they are wandy, henderson, evans. IMO he did beat chael sonnen...actually i'm gonna put him at number 3, i don't see okami or munoz beating him.

I hate Bisping, always will hate Bisping. That being said, dude's a top 5 MW for sure. I think he beats Okami and Stann more time than not. I think the fight to make is Bisping vs Belfort. If Bisping can avoid the power of Vitor, I think if he could clinch him against the cage and dirty box and wrestle him to a UD. I'd also love to see Bisping vs Belcher even though he'd probably grind out a decision. Gotta give it up to the brit though, dudes got heart.

good to see some unbiased posts in this thread.
even if you hate the guy with a passion, the dude gets some respect after this performance.
the only guys i put ahead of bisping
Spider, Chael, Vitor...
i think he takes Munoz and Okami.
why do people rank Munoz so highly? he beat a drugged up sloppy brawler who quit on the stool and his biggest win in his most recent streak is Maia who has lost 2 of 3.
think of it like this: in chaels last 6 fights (including title fight with spider) no one has given him trouble. he dominated all those fights. we thought he was going to do the same to bisping but it was a hell of a fight from the brit.
and NO, stann is not ranked ahead of bisping..

That is very debatable. Stann has an iron jaw and dynamite in his fist. Bisping isn't taking Stann down. Bisping isn't knocking Stann out. He would have to out point him for 3 or 5 rounds and hope that Stann doesn't connect with his bombs.
I would actually bet a nice chunk of money on that fight especially if Stann was the underdog.

Bisping REALLY suprised me. He did a lot better than i thought he could and he even hurt Chael. He can beat anyone except Silva i guess and i am really intrueged to see upcoming fights with him.
A rematch vs Sonnen for the title will be a great fight.

I got a gut feeling that it'll be Bisping vs Belfort next
for him fighting Stann or Okami would be a step back IMO, Munoz could be a good fight but Belfort will be the most exciting match up for Bisping now, probably the next #1 contender fight
