We all know and will all probably agree there's no possible way that Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller will be a shitty fight, but the UFC has put on two FOX shows and they've got a mixed bag, everyone criticized the decision to show just Velasquez/dos Santos when Ben Henderson and Clay Guida was left on the under card and a title shot went to the winner, that fight turned out to be one of the better ones of the year according to most(I never saw it because of a shitty stream) then in the main event the only fight on FOX, dos Santos knocked out Velasquez in about 64 seconds to win the Heavyweight title.

Last night, we didn't get no quick fights, all three fights went the distance but they were heavily criticized, Michael Bisping proved he belonged in the Middleweight title picture and earned his spot at the top of the weight class despite losing, Chris Weidman took a fight on 11 days notice and had to go from 217 lbs to 185 in 10 days so his gassing out was pretty much a foregone conclusion and Phil Davis offered nothing for Rashad Evans in a fight that saw Evans cruise.

So far the FOX deal hasn't got off to the best of starts but they're not gonna cancel the deal after one fight, they've got their third show coming up in May and the aforementioned Diaz/Miller fight is on it.

So besides Diaz/Miller, how would you book the third FOX show? It'll likely be three fights and Diaz/Miller is probably going to be one of the three so that leaves two fights to make. What would you like to see the UFC do? Personally, I'd like to see Diaz/Miller open and have them draw interest in what will likely be a fifteen minute war, get the ratings to increase as the fight goes, Velasquez/Mir co-main event to give everyone a taste of the bigger guys and a finish and then have Dustin Poirier vs. Erik Koch as the headliner which would give the fans an entertaining main event and help out the lighter weights.

I'd have exiting, lighter weight fighters. That way you are less likeley to get a quick KO and less likley to get a boring fight too.

Good thing you're not in charge of the UFC or FOX. You would have two unknown LW's as your main event? The whole point of big name fighters headlining is to draw viewers in.

No one's going to tune in for Erik Koch vs Poirier. The advertisers won't even allow it LOL.

Koch and Poirier are Featherweights, not Lightweights and are top ten ranked fighters that was just scheduled to fight for a title shot against Aldo, they're just as worthy of a main event slot as Evans/Davis was.

And in case you haven't noticed, these heavier weight classes? Not quite delivering in the excitement department, these two shows haven't really been that good, they might as well give the lighter weights a shot. It's not like things can get any worse.

I meant like Aldo or someone, it would be a good chance to build him up and I literally can't remember a fight where he hasn't delivered. If you are targeting new veiwers why does it matter if the guy is little known, guys who havn't seen it before don't know anyone.

FW's are even worse in terms of drawing power. As talented as Aldo and Dominick Cruz are no one really knows them outside of hardcore fans. It's a shame but it's the reality.

Since Fox cards are supposed to be PPV quality you need to keep it as mainstream as possible.

I'd have some sort of bantamweight or featherweight fight to open. They may not have names or drawing power but I think the causal fan(that's what these cards are about) would enjoy the fast paced fight style guys in those division put out. It would keep people hooked. Then I'd follow up with Diaz/Miller, which should be a good fight. Then main event the show with Velazquez/Mir which should end in a crowd pleasing knockout or arm shattering submission.

They way people are complaining about how these fights went down, I would have all kick-boxing fights.

Rampage vs Forrest
Velasquez vs Mir

Stuff like that... Give people the allure of a title-fight and co-main with one or two big names in it to draw extra...

Really you think with those 3 fights there is any chance that Koch/Poirier the fight with no name recognition and no known comodity is gonna be the ME? There are only 3 fighters under 155 who will be main eventing a fight any time soon and thats Aldo, Cruz and Faber. Other than that a co-main spot is the best any of them can ask for.

I would put Guida on the card for sure and look to put one of the flyweight tournament fights on it.
