Why Ryan Bader??
Why is Ryan Bader fighting Rampage at UFC: Japan? Don't get me wrong, he isn't a bad fighter but i would of loved to have seen Rampage verse a slightly better opponent. I don't give Bader much chance in this fight to be honest. This is a sick card, it just could of been better.
Do you agree with Bader getting the right? If not, who would YOU have chosen to fight Rampage?

I would have liked to see Rampage-Shogun II or Rampage-Griffin II so he could avenge his losses. I'd pick Rampage to win both of those fights.

Rampage isn't an elite fighter anymore, so I agree with the matchmaking to put him in the Octagon with Ryan Bader. They are both on similar levels of skill at this point in their careers, and I expect it to be a competitive fight. Remember, Rampage couldn't even put on an impressive performance against Matt Hamill so why would you want to put him in the cage against someone like Shogun who has already whooped his ass even when he was in his prime?

I agree that Forrest Griffin would of been a suitable opponent , seeing as Rampage wants to avenge his loss to him. As well as both fighters being in similar stages of their career.

Business wise I think UFC made a good decision here. Rampage has a big fan base in Japan, and a win for him will be very good for UFC development in Japan. I don't really see which other 205'ers would make much more sense at this point in Rampage's career. I have Rampage as a clear favorite, but Bader is good enough to put up a decent fight.
Even with a win I don't expect rampage to do more than one, maybe two more fights in the UFC, and he will never be a contender again. A win for Bader will put him back in the top 10 imo. I think this fight will be a good show, expecting a tko from Rampage

Rampage wanted to fight on the Japan card and Bader was the best person who was available for him, and said yes. He said so himself on his twitter when the UFC announced the fight.

I love this fight personally.
Ryan Bader doesnt have good enough wrestling to take Rampage down. So if he cant take Rampage down guess what??? They are gonna throw BOMBS.!!! I cannot wait.

This fight's been booked ages ago, they were the two best possible guy's available i presume. Page would've though anybody to get to the Japan card.
Bader's losing some momentum yet again, if Tito can rock him like that, imagine what Page could do.

Lol. Imagine Rampage going to a decision with Bader when Tito finished him in the first??? Oh boy...
