And the award for biggest threat to Silva goes to...

Martin Kampmann.

You heard it here folks, Kampmann has good enough striking ability to be able to throw down with Silva. He's very technical, picks his shots wisely, perhaps the second best striker in the MW division, and has shown last night and in past fights his submission skills are nothing to joke about.

If there were one fighter that would have the best chance to take Silva out it would be Kampmann. And when Silva gets past Marquardt and Franklin, and if Kampmann wins one more big fight, this has a fight of the year possibility.

War Kampmann mother****ers.

i absolutely do not believe that he has the striking ability to stand with silva. kampmann looked good on the ground but was getting ****ED up on his feet against mcfedries.
i personally don't think that kampmann could take any of the elite mw fighters because he just looks too small, most of the top fighters are bigger, stronger, hit harder, and have good ground defense. if mcfedries had stopped the takedown it would have been a ko for sure.

Yeah....Mcfederies Ruined him standing up. I didn't see anything amazing about his striking to be honest, unless i missed somthing.

You need to watch his MMA fights before the UFC, dude is a damn good striker.

And McFederies didn't do anything big, which is why Kampmann was able to take him down with no problem. McFedries was swinging wild anyway.

And Kampmann would ruin Swick, Okami too perhaps.

Yeah that was the first time ive seen him fight. He didn't really impress me all that much in the one last night though, other than the choke. But yeah, ill take your word for it. I may find some of his other fights

Doubt it. His standup is way below Anderson Silva's. Everyone thinks Silva sucks because of a lackluster performance vs Lutter but I guarantee the next time he fights he's going to re-impress everyone. I really enjoyed watching Kapmann fight and his arm triangle was awesome, but he would get beaten in the 1st round by Silva. If Mcfederies can land that many shots in his face, imagine what Silva would do, ouch

the only wild swing i saw the whole fight was from kampmann o_0

mcfedries' punches were all pretty spot-on...and then only reason kampmann even went for the takedown was cuz he got jacked, fell back into the cage, bounced back and started hugging on mcfedries then decided to take him down since he was getting smashed

And I'm not one of those guys. Anderson Silva is bar none the best middleweight in the UFC and most well rounded.

I'm just saying Kampmann would be a good match-up for him.

I appologise for my assumptions then, and maybe Kampmann would be a good match for Silva but his striking did not look impressive in his fight last night but I'm checking out some of his other fights right now
