But the consensus? They don't share my opinion, this was more of an image/hype question because a lot of people have turned on Condit because of one fight and everyone knows GSP is considered boring by the majority so a lot of people are gonna put down their fight but if Condit was to finish someone I think it'd do a lot of good for the overall fight hype for GSP/Condit.

That is exactly what it was, but some fans are too butt-hurt to see that.....

i think he does because I am not interested in GSP v condit now.
gsp with his wrestling and condit with trying to keep from getting taken down.
im not sure i want to pony up $60 or $40 or whatever for that fight.

I'd like to see how condit does against a strong wrestler. But whether he waits or not it doesn't matter to me I'm not overly excited for condit/gsp.

Condit's gameplan was perfect; it completely neutralized Diaz' strengths. There was nothing chicken about it.
Which means he is the interim WW champion. He has nothing more to prove to earn the "right" to face GSP. He did that last night.
Now that doesn't mean Condit doesn't defend his title. GSP is targeting November as the earliest he'll fight which is 10 months away. It could very well be December or New Year's if the UFC decides to use George on one of the big year end events.
And with Sanchez vs Ellenberger is a couple of weeks it's not out of the question Condit faces the winner in June or July.

So basically he will have the same strategy as everyone else who fights GSP? Diaz's strategy of crying about it after the fight would have clearly been more effective.

the thing is i think GSP would've been afraid to take diaz down... where as I am not sure he is too scared of condit off his back.
I guarantee we will see vintage GSP wrestling, especially coming off his ACL injury. Im not sure he wants to stand 5 rounds and get kicked on that knee.

GSP's top game is smothering, don't kid yourself at the elite of the elite level the guard is a dying game. GSP trains with guys like Roger Gracie don't believe for a second Diaz's guard is all that worry some.

which is why he was scared to death to take jake shields down...
don't kid yourself buddy!
edit: go ask fedor and overeem if the guard is dying. Overeem wouldn't dare go to the ground with werdum (but please dont focus on this edit of my post...just wanted to throw that out there. I know you'll probably say something like overeem's top game is nothing like GSP's etc.)
