Clifford Starks
I was just wondering whether anyone else was impressed with him. I mean despite the submission loss. I have to admit he looked good. Good hands, Power, good wrestling. However I do think he needs a step down in competition at the moment.

I was surprised how Herman just walked through some of those punches. Those were f'n hard and clean shots to the chin!

Reasonably. But Herman's stand up is laughably bad, any half decent striker will take him apart.
Starks has the athletic ability to do ok in the UFC but I wasn't blown away.

To an extent... I wouldn't say i was impressed with his performace, just impressed with how he looked in relation to my opinion of him before the fight. I thought Herman would walk straight through him, thought he was a pretty poor fighter tbh but the first round he put up a helluva fight. Still don't think he'll be around in the UFC in 12 months though.

Starks has a bright future maybe not at MW bt if he cuts down to WW his strength and wrestling could make a huge impact.
Match Starks up with Simpson on the prelims and see how good his wrestling is.

I was thinking about making a thread for other fighter on the card, but he looked so bad that i don't really think he deserves one.
Talking about Dan Stittgen here. Was he brought as a trampoline for Thomson or what?
