I just now have finished watching the McDonald vs Franklin match and you have to love the way Rich & Silva interacted after the fight. Both guys are all class, I know Silva showboats a little with the dancing etc but when its time to be serious he is 100% genuine. I can't wait for the rematch...and to be honest it will be the first fight in a long time that I wont be supporting one fighter more than the other!!!

Is it just me or is everyone marking for this match!!

I thought that was kool as well, nothing better than seeing that there is no bad blood between them after that match on the 14th of October.

There will prolly be people saying that it is just an act between them as professional fighters, but i think this is real stuff. You gotta respect each other in the end cause they're all fans of someone else somewhere.

damn straight, you can't fake what they showed. There is genuine respect and it showed in spades. My only hope is that Silva can at least try to converse a little in english to win over some of the U.S. fans. If he could at least get a few pre rehearsed phrases out like the western fighters do in Japanese in the Pride shows he will win people over for sure.

I'm anxious to see this fight too. The amount of respect and class that both fighters showed to each other was great. I am a fan of both but I'd like to see Silva remain champ for a while.

Fedor sleeps with a night light. Not because Fedor is afraid of the dark, but the dark is afraid of Fedor.

I am leaning that way as well, thats why I hope Silva tries to learn a little english for his post match interviews. It doesn't have to be perfect but it will show the fans he respects them by trying. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he has anything to prove to the fans but it will make him more marketable for the UFC and also help build the relationship with the fans. The japanese love it when the western fighters speak Japanese, I reckon the U.S. fans would love to see it the equivilant

Absolutely right, just the look on Rich's face when he saw Anderson approaching the octagon, the big smile, the cheeky poking out of the tongue etc,not to mention the fact he told the crowd not to boo silva as he was a stand up guy all showed just how much respect and even admiration is there between them.In fact, with obvious exceptions (tito, shamrock or diaz, riggs etc),this sport seems to have more respect between it's competitors than just about any other.Just one of the many factors that make MMA the best spectator sport there is!!

They are both very classy guys...they don't make it personal and show respect for the others accomplishments.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Both Rich and Anderson are class acts. Thats how you earn respect and create a good fan base. Look at Couture, people couldn't love him anymore. There's no fake bulls**t to these guys. GSP as well. leave the fight in the ring.

Yea, I thought that was very cool of the both of them. I also like how Rich said, "No excuses, I just went out and underperformed that night." Or something along those lines, regarding the loss to Silva. That right there, is classy. He didn't blame an injury, he let it be known that he was beaten by the better fighter that night.

...Now lets see the rematch!

Forum Bets: 8-4

I've got Tanner over Grove. How about a bet?
