Sure this guy wasn't as good as cruz at nullifying a TD by scrambles but you could really see it in the fight. Chiesa did look like he started gassing after the first round but i think it was an adrenaline dump that caused it. I expect his next fight to be much better without the whole "i gotta win for my dad" still weighing heavy on his mind.
True that. I get the overall feeling that Dominick has the better coaching staff of the two (said the guy with the Cruz sig, I know). Plus he gives his fighters more useful advice at ringside than Faber. Chin down, chin down, chin down isn't really going to help a veteran like Marcello much in a fight where he's trying to outstrike the better striker.

The fact that Faber supported Marcello when he said he was going to stand with Lawrence kind of showed that Faber was more of a biased friend that over estimates his boy, rather than a coach who wants his fighter to get the win. Faber basically told him to go for it and seemed to have all of the confidence in the world that it was a good idea when it was obvious that Lawrence was a superior striker before and during the fight. He couldn't have thought Marcello's tentative stand up and lazy leg kicks were effective. Questionable coaching for sure, at least right there anyway.

I would have told my fighter to let go of his pride and to remember what brought him to where he is. Standing with a younger, faster, and better striker is not a good idea. Shouldn't worry about offending your fighter or hurting their feelings. Cruz doesn't seem to mind doing that too much.

This. Think he's going to be the kind of guy who will crack fast under pressure, but could be wrong! Really enjoying this season of TUF!

True true. I think he is good when the fight goes his way but if he has to work into the 2nd round he will break especially if it goes to a third

-Proctor has never KO'ed or TKO'ed someone.

-These are the records of the 4 people Proctor submitted:

1-2
5-6
1-2
0-2

I'll be the oddball and say Tickle wins.

Good point bringing up Proctors record. I didn't realize he padded it like that. Not hard to get some submission wins over D level competition. On the other hand, all of Tickles losses have been by submission. Two guillotine chokes, one triangle choke, and one arm bar. We'll see if Proctors gift submission wins are going to expose him, or if Tickles questionable submission defense is going to expose him.

This right here. I think Tickle got lucky, but he is mentally weak. How did he get this far without being able to push himself in the gym?

Think. It Ain't Illegal Yet

yeh i saw the lines for this fight.. easy money if you ask me. This fight is so much more even then it looks from watching the show. For example, if we just watched both of their try out fights, it would be 50/50, but because TUF has sort of "exposed" tickle, it sways peoples opinions.

There's alot of guys that are "babys" in the gym, but when you put them in the cage, they become big pit bull ready to eat your head off. Don't under estimate those babys...
