What? That was a great fight. You're crazy. There was no reason why the ref should have stood them up in that position. They were working enough.

I enjoyed that fight as well. Fighters don't have to be world classed competitors to be entertaining. I thought it was interesting how Cofer was supposed to be the better wrestler, but failed to take Vinc down which led to him gassing. I don't think many people expected Vince to capitalize on that and take Cofer down himself leading to a submission win for him.

Other than the weird position on the ground, it was a decent fight entertainment wise.

Wow great episode so far, I'd go Rd 1 Saunders.

Well that was fight of the season, I think it should have gone three. I don't know how you give Saunders rd 1 for a drop but don't give Scilia rd 2 for the same.

Like I said in the official thread, I checked Sicilia's record before this fight and noticed it was padded. He has a win over a guy with an 0-5 record, all finishes. That sort of changed my opinion on this fight before it started.

EDIT: I kind of agree with John. I think that Saunders won the majority of the second, but Sicilia dropped him with a solid punch which should have stolen the round. That being said, I'm not complaining about the result. Sicilia was obviously looking for the knock out and never really changed up his game plan, even when he started to gas from throwing those power punches. He looked frustrated when Saunders wasn't obliging to a brawl, but what does he expect? Saunders had the quicker foot work and knows going toe to toe with a guy who hits as hard as Sicilia isn't a good idea. They both had good chins which made the fight more exciting. Probably the best fight of the season so far.

Anyone else notice how Herb Dean went rushing in when Chris dropped Sam with that head kick? It did look like he went out for a second, but fortunately he recovered before Dean was potentially able to step in. If Herb had been a little closer, we may have gotten an early stoppage there.

Sam Sicilia is going to get a contract fight at the finale so I don't think his padded record means much of anything. The long training camps are really killing these guys cardio as most of them are gassing badly. Chris Saunders is a scrappy little bastard I would love to see him get a winnable fight in the next round and take a shot at the finale.

At this point I think the semifinal matchups should be

Justin Lawrence(C) vs Mike Chiesa (F)
Al Iaquinta(F) vs James Vick (C)
Mike Rio(C) vs Chris Saunders (F)
Joe Proctor(F) vs Vinc Pinchel (C)

Or in the unlikely case Andy Ogle moves on

Justin Lawrence (C) vs Andy Ogle (F)
Vinc Pinchel (C) vs Chris Saunders (F)
Al Iaquinta (F) vs James Vick (C)
Joe Proctor (F) vs Mike Chiesa (F)

Lol, did anyone else think it was hilarious when before the fight they went over to a shot of Britney with a tablet that said team cruz or team faber and it was a massive shot of her cleavage.

I thought Sicilia got robbed of a 3rd round. Hope they match him up with Tickle at the Finale, that would make a fun fight.

Sicilia got robbed.

I think almost any ref would. I don't think I have ever seen anyone recover when they fell face first with their hands at their sides like that. Sam is a tough dude.
