Lawrence looks like one of the brightest prospects to come from TUF in a long, long time. I think him and Jury are gonna do great things.

That's some brilliant mind games right there. If Lawrence wins this fight he is going to have every one there believing the hype and being petrified of him if they weren't already.

I don't blame Marcello.

Hes been fighting for a long time & has a lot of bad habits that are extremely difficult to break.

Its the same with Mayhem, Rampage and other old school fighters.

They can do the right things in sparring and training but when they step in the cage they'll revert back to their old ways.

This whole "Check on the fighter to get fans" shit is starting to get on my nerves though. I thought Greg Jackson was the only one to do something like that but Cruz said it too. I never thought faking something like that was actually popular.

I don't think Cruz meant it as Jackson did. Jackson just came off like an insincere asshole. Whereas I think Cruz legitimately felt as though his student ought to check on his downed opponent. I see the latter as being an important part of good sportsmanship.

I agree. Lawrence is a young fighter and I think Cruz just wanted to teach him some etiquette. That's basically what Greg Jackson did but he added that little phrase "get some fans" that ruined it.

Not a fan of this weeks fight. On one hand, I'm picking Jury to win and want to see him win the tournament, but on the other hand, I don't want to see Faber go 0-3 with his team. For some reason, I don't like lop sided seasons regardless of who the coaches are. I want the competition to remain competitive.

I still don't understand why Faber picked fighters the way he did. Iaquinta seems decent, but his record doesn't look very impressive and it seems like part of Faber's reason for picking him first was because of who he trained with.

This guy says he has been in wars and won, but with a record of 5-1-1 against probably sub par competition, it's not that much to brag about. I'm sure he said that because Jury is undefeated and has finished all of his professional fights in the first round without enduring that much, but it's speculation on how he will handle adversity in the octagon.

I'm still picking Jury to win, but I wouldn't be upset if either fighter won.

close fight, Al definately isn't anyone impressive, he wont make it in the UFC. Jury still has potential. Anyone else think Condit and jury are alot alike?
