In an interview with Fletcher he said....
Quote:
FRMMA: How did you get into the world of MMA?
CF: Im distantly related to Ross Pearson I heard he was doing really well so I went down to Sunderland BJJ and started training under peter McQueen about 5 years ago.

So their probably like 2nd or 3rd cousins.

I hope Fletcher has a decent triangle off his back. He's got big legs and usually thatt translates well. I don't really see too many people competing with him in the stand up. He obviously can take a shot and he uses his kicks very well to the body so I see him probably edging any fight on the feet. He'll probably get taken down if he fights someone with decent takedowns if they catch a kick so hopefully he has that to fall back on.

Good episode, the Aussies got control in the WW bracket! Whittaker looked good, though its hard to tell from like 20 seconds of action! I actually thought Newman's stand-up looked really good at first, but he got over-confident and got a bit sloppy.

Brits have the best to come at welterweight - no matter what fights happen there 2 uk fighters will go through...hell i would say 2 uk welterweights in the final - maybe the same for LW too...sadly for the Ozzys...

I don't think Whittaker looked great to be honest, Newman looked better - just got caught flush and went to sleep. It happens.

What about Andy Ogle eh... EH?! oh wait.
I think the Brits will do better in this series than the Aussies. The Australian lot talk to much to be any good

Yeah I thought Whittacker looked terrible. He obviously has an alright punch, but the dude was cowering against the cage in like 10 seconds. He'll need to do something much different next time because if someone with a good chin feels like rushing him, he's out.
I hope Newman gets the wild card too. His style seems exciting.

I didn't realise the Aussies hated us so much?! Also, George is coming across as a bit of a douche, in my opinion.
