WWE takes a jab at “The Ultimate Fighter’s” plummeting ratings

The ratings for the 16th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" have plummeted from their very low debut. Last Friday was the lowest-rated show in TUF history, and the people over at WWE couldn't help but take a shot at the UFC.

Ouch. Though it's a petty shot to take, it shows that others are noticing how the show is faltering. The debut was the lowest-rated in TUF history with 947,000 viewers, and has dropped down to 775,000. It's just not catching on with fans.
Still, UFC president Dana White told "The Ultimate Insider" this isn't a make-or-break season.
"There are some things that we all did wrong. And we need to fix them. It's all part of running a business. The thing about us is we're not afraid of taking risks. If we were, we wouldn't be sitting here right now. This whole business has been a risk since day one."
While that's effective spin on White's part, it didn't really address that people just aren't tuning into the show the way they used to. With so many fights available throughout the month and the feeling that every season is just like the one before, there isn't as much of a need to watch the show for a fight fix.

This rating doesnt surprise me at all. I'd be shocked if Smackdown wasn;t doing better numbers than TUF.

To me it's just WWE taking a shot at a company they KNOW is taking their viewers.

WWE does these every week. It's actually pretty stupid since the Ultimate Fighter isnt THAT big. They've just ran out of shows to compair their ratings to.

Ironic considering RAW just pulled its lowest rating in 15 years.

Vince can't stand that UFC came along and crushed its PPV numbers. Petty.

Pretty ironic since the WWE is doing a pretty shit job these days and aren't really doing very big numbers themselves (compared to the past), + TUF is just a reality show.

WWE does these every single week and ONCE they have picked TUF, and everyone is offended? It's just a fact.

Like others have said the WWE does this with everything. They posts those little fact things after commercials and have shown stuff comparing them to every major sport and non sports shows like The Simpsons, Gun Smoke, Lassie, entire networks (including the ones their on), websites, social media stuff, charity contributions, basically anything. I wouldn't even call this a jab at the UFC.

The wwe has been doing this for a couple years now, its just the truth that's all..why get so butthurt about it and call it a jab? Does your ***** hurt too? Dana white isnt offended so why should we be?
