Yeah, Josh Samman did look like an idiot throwing those double punches. I cracked up laughing when that happened, and so did Jones and White. Try to open up the guy sure, but he looked like a tool doing it. That can't be too great for your body either.

Hester looked good, you can tell Jones took an immediate liking to his style. He probably shouldn't have given him instructions so blatantly though considering he wasn't his coach yet. Wasn't really fair to the guy he was fighting. "Oh great, Jon Jones wants me to lose and there aren't even teams yet." Kind of adding salt to the guys wounds in my opinion.

I tend to agree with most here. There definitely appears to be a larger pool of talent this time out, which is great... I always like to see the MW division get a potential boost. I can't decide who to go with just yet, but Hall has to be the one giving other fighters 'nervous breakdowns'. What a scary dude.

Looks like it's going to be a great season for once... I really liked having some family their. Made it more emotional for the fighters. I hope these guys bring it this season.

Definitely off to a better start then the last season. I really like the way the cinematography is done this season. Looks more like a documentary then a reality show.

Great bunch of fighters and a great bunch of fights to start off. Hopefully they keep things at this level.

I didn't know what to make of the way the episode was filmed, in particular the fights. The lighting was of the nature of an two hour high light reel. It was kind of like the beginning of every survivor episode except it was two round fight - or high lights of the fight. I can appreciate the production crew/producers mixing things up though as the product was getting very stale.

I enjoyed the background stories and the surprise meetings at the hotel rooms. At the end of the day this is a reality show so I think to appeal to non-mma fans but those who watch reality it was a good mix.

I just hope they don't film and present every fight the way they did the opening episode. Watching a PPV or free card the cameras are solid on the action. No highlight hits while the round is on. I found that kind of annoying, but once again from a reality show stand point it works, but too much of that style and it will defeat the purpose of showing a fight from start to finish.

Given how bad last season was UFC and Fox needed to mix things up on the production side. I just hope the entry fights translate into actual action during the series. Last season was for me the worst. I've never missed tuf since season 1, started watching MMA because of it, but last season was so bad I wasn't even paying attention that the season opener was on. Missed the first twenty minutes, but tuned in for the rest. I hope the season goes well.

As much as i think Hall is a really complete fighter, i do wish he would shoot for a few less takedows. 1-2 a round is enough to have it there as a threat.

Less family stuff also, i hope that is it for all that boring shit.

Bleacherreport has ranked the prospects, and seeing how impressive this field is I think it's a good read.

13. Adam Cella
12. Dylan Andrews
11. Collin Hart
10. Kevin Casey
09. Gilbert Smith

Hopefully that is Josh Samman that gets carted off in the ambulance. Rewatching the first episode even the guys girlfriend was annoying.

Uriah Hall looks to be the best striker we've seen on the show in a long long time.

I liked the super slow-mo replays of highlights for fights they already showed, but not when they were just showing parts of a fight for the first time that was too long. Never get to see how fast the punches or kicks are. And the extreme closeups during interviews got a little creepy, but all in all still one of the best shows on tv.
