I can't help but be disappointed in Jones. Gilbert could likely wreck a few of the fighters from Sonnen's team, but Jones clearly didn't do his research and picked an awful fight. That and he was certainly quick to throw Gilbert under the bus after he lost. 'Gilbert didn't step up' and 'Gilbert lost the fight before he stepped into the cage' was a nonsense thing to say considering Gilbert fought hard right up until the KO. Had Jones done more to throw some support behind Gilbert prior to the fight, who knows what might have been. You can't allow your team to ambush a fighter, tear him down, and not expect it to be of some consequence. Jon should have told his team what was up, but instead he and his fellow coaches couldn't have cared less.

Granted, who knows what was said off camera.

Jones thought he could throw any wrestler at the brit and take out Sonnens top pick - brits are becoming better at wrestling...

I can't believe Jones's coaches just stood outside the locker room door and listened in on their first fight pick being torn down like that.

I have a feeling chael is just a little better coach than jon heh, if josh samman and bubba get eliminated brutal in the first match they have I will be very happy

That shocked me too. A more senior/experienced coach would of stepped in and stopped that right away. I think that scene really showed Jons youth and inexperience at being a leader.

I also can't wait for Josh and Bubba to get their butts kicked. That "call out" by Bubba was so lame. No team is going to fall for that.

Bubba might make it pretty far, he's actually a pretty good fighter, but that Josh guy is irksome.

Doubt it, he looked really lacklustre in his preliminary fight, hester,hall,barnett,troeng and andrews I already know are better than him.

He was just a boring grinder, but guys like that win fights and thats all what matters in getting to the final. His skill set will be a nightmare for a lot of fighters in the house.

Not in this house, any other season maybe but no I think eeven gilbert would have beaten him, he won't be able to grind against anyone in the except for that other jackoff samman and they won't fight eachother
