It begins! I've got a good feeling about this season.

Uriah Hall looks to be the most well rounded imo. Hard to tell after one fight, but he really looked good.

Clint Hester is obviously a tank. He's going to have a strength advantage in just about any fight.

Luke Barnatt looks very experienced, and technically sound but he has a tough match up stylistically with Gilbert Smith.

Tor reminds me a bit of Fedor is his demeanor. Hopefully he can get some W's.

Josh Samman gets the first episode douche bag award for his double fists on the ground and fight schedule itinerary.

Also I think Chael Sonnen is going to walk away from this show with a lot more fans. He is the world's biggest troll, but when he isn't hamming it up for the cameras he's actually a likable guy.

This season looks like it is going to be good. They have some solid fighters in the house including Tor Troeng, Kevin Casey, Uriah Hall & Clint Hester. That is of course without mentioning luke Barnatt who I thin actually has a good shot at winning this thing. Josh Samman is definitely going to be the douche of the show without a doubt. There were some others as well who I thought were good such as Gilbert Smith and Bubba McDaniel

They were actually kind of effective at opening the guy up. It looked stupid but still. No really different than when Saku used to do those rolling hammerfists/go ape and just overwhelm the guy from mount.

I like the new production for the house stuff but I don't really know if I'm gonna like watching every single fight like that. I know most didn't like the whole sob story thing but I did like the element of having the families there and seeing their reaction it adds another element of realness to it, when Fekete got knocked out you could see his girl's reaction, when the guy that brought his kids there lost you could see their reaction. I kinda liked that.

It looks like it'll have some good fights but watching the fights under the new production is gonna be the real test in my eyes.

Did anyone notice that the fights all looked like an action scene from 28 days later? I mean I know they are trying to be grittier, but sometimes it got hard to watch fast exchanges. Also they better show entire fights, they used two hours last night and edited parts of the only fight I wanted to see....I didn't even realize that they only showed me the first round of Uriah Hall's fight until they went back to the corners. So the editing is nice, but I want to see the whole fight.

The cast overall seem good imo there are 5 who are a step above and in that 5, 2 are again a step up based on skill and condition. The cast combined with the coaches and all the previous will hopefuly translate into a very good season as opposed to the near unwatchable seasons of late.

I am high, but this looks like it could be one of best seasons ever. Awesome coaches, good fights, good fighters, and I like the new production. I wonder who the beast guy is, who's every body afraid of. Could be Uriah, but hard to judge just after the first fights. Loved the 1st ep though, haven't been this pumped up for TUF since I just started getting into MMA.

I despise him form the moment I saw him plus bloodyelbow are hugging his nuts and also his douchiness because he posts there, its disgusting if anyone I liked on this forum did that stuff I would call them out but i'm pretty sure they wouldn't.

Really enjoyed the first episode. Of course they'll show full fights from now on, they always shorten some of the fights in the elimination rounds don't they? Or have done for a few seasons.

The cinematography was so much better than any seasons I've seen previously. Really well done (I haven't watched TUF since Chuck vs Franklin/Tito)

Some great guys on the show, can't wait :)

I didn't know what to make of the way the episode was filmed, in particular the fights. The lighting was of the nature of an two hour high light reel. It was kind of like the beginning of every survivor episode except it was two round fight - or high lights of the fight. I can appreciate the production crew/producers mixing things up though as the product was getting very stale.

I enjoyed the background stories and the surprise meetings at the hotel rooms. At the end of the day this is a reality show so I think to appeal to non-mma fans but those who watch reality it was a good mix.

I just hope they don't film and present every fight the way they did the opening episode. Watching a PPV or free card the cameras are solid on the action. No highlight hits while the round is on. I found that kind of annoying, but once again from a reality show stand point it works, but too much of that style and it will defeat the purpose of showing a fight from start to finish.

Given how bad last season was UFC and Fox needed to mix things up on the production side. I just hope the entry fights translate into actual action during the series. Last season was for me the worst. I've never missed tuf since season 1, started watching MMA because of it, but last season was so bad I wasn't even paying attention that the season opener was on. Missed the first twenty minutes, but tuned in for the rest. I hope the season goes well.

After last season being the worst season yet and the first season I stopped watching half way through I'm glad to see a good cast put together. All the fighters looked pretty solid with a few stand outs. Its hard for me to pick a winner after watching that first episode should make for a very competitive season with some good match ups.

Yeah, Josh Samman did look like an idiot throwing those double punches. I cracked up laughing when that happened, and so did Jones and White. Try to open up the guy sure, but he looked like a tool doing it. That can't be too great for your body either.

Hester looked good, you can tell Jones took an immediate liking to his style. He probably shouldn't have given him instructions so blatantly though considering he wasn't his coach yet. Wasn't really fair to the guy he was fighting. "Oh great, Jon Jones wants me to lose and there aren't even teams yet." Kind of adding salt to the guys wounds in my opinion.

I tend to agree with most here. There definitely appears to be a larger pool of talent this time out, which is great... I always like to see the MW division get a potential boost. I can't decide who to go with just yet, but Hall has to be the one giving other fighters 'nervous breakdowns'. What a scary dude.

I liked the super slow-mo replays of highlights for fights they already showed, but not when they were just showing parts of a fight for the first time that was too long. Never get to see how fast the punches or kicks are. And the extreme closeups during interviews got a little creepy, but all in all still one of the best shows on tv.
