Hughes was a coach on TUF 2. Come on, theres gotta be someone else for a coach. Bring Hughes back later not a few seasons later. But then again, there is that Serra/Hughes hype floating around

It makes sense to me. Dana has said before that he likes the coaches to fight at the end of the season. Pulver and Penn looks like it's gonna turn out to be an awesome feud and fight, and so does Hughes and Serra. The trash talk has already started from Serra's side, and I'm sure some will be returned from Hughes.

I, for one, am looking forward to TUF6. But, hell, I'd like to see a mix of 185 pound guys in there, too. 170 is stacked as it is.

It sets up the fight perfectly and its not going to prolong it too long. The TUF 6 show is set to debut this fall. They're beginning taping within this month.

Plus Serra is good for the advancement of the sport. He's a really likeable guy and is good for the UFC's PR.

Season six of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) will begin taping for six weeks this spring in Las Vegas, Nevada, and premier in the fall, according to

Over the weekend, we passed along the official announcement at UFC 70 that current 170-pound champion Matt Serra and former titleholder Matt Hughes will be the coaches for the latest edition of the reality series.

Furthermore, the two will fight one another later this year on a pay-per-view (PPV) card that has yet to be announced.

Here’s a snip from UFC President Dana White:

“We’re raising the stakes for season six of The Ultimate Fighter. Matt Serra, UFC Welterweight Champion, and Matt Hughes, the former welterweight champion, do not like each other at all. It should be a wild ride.”
