Different theory - Do you think if BJ yelled less commands, Emerson would have won ?

that entire fight was more yelling than actual fighting. BJ was yelling commands left and right, to jab, kick, do it again... and Emerson barely followed him a few times. it was almost as frustrating as the Andy Wang bout

do you think a fighter who is stubborn and refuses to listen to his corner loses points, and judges completely takes that into account? just imagine if BJ wasn't yelling as much, and made it seem like Emerson was doing what he was supposed to do the entire 3 rounds... the judges may have easily gave that round to Emerson? you know, considering Corey didn't do sh!t and Emerson did a lot more damage.

I think BJ's yelling was responsible for the few times Emerson actually did get inside. If he didn't yell people would get on his case for not trying to be a good coach.

BJ is very loud, I her him yelling every single fight. It was a very close fight and really could have went either way. I don't think BJ yelling would make Emerson lose though, I personally think it helped Emerson.

It might be a little distracting though. Even though BJ is light years ahead of Emmerson you still have to allow a fighter to think and execute his game plan a bit.

True, seems like no matter what BJ does some people give him shit.

They need to move the mic away from BJ Penn. It is irritating as hell to listen to his continuous crowing for an entire fight.

he said emerson did a lot more damage which is true, you could clearly see hill's leg was hurt. They even had a 2second clip of an icebag on his leg. I wouldn't be surprised if he seemed to wobble a bit if he shows up in the next episode...cause da*n his legs are skinny.

Clearly see his leg was hurt? I disagree, the entire point of leg kicks is to take out a guy's base and Corey was lighter on his feet throughout the match especially towards the end when Emerson landed his couple "big" leg kicks. I mean Emerson lands a leg kick, Corey continues to push the pace and hit Emerson in the face. Maybe if Emerson had landed a shitload more throughout and you actually could see the effect on Corey id buy this whole 'Emerson did more damage even though he got hit more' argument.
