Why Corey Won

It's obvious Dana (and others) wants him in the UFC. He obviously has amazing potential and if he lost in the prelims, it doesn't look good. Emerson on the other hand has enough experience for us to get a pretty good look at his potential. He may get signed with the UFC, but has no real future there and Dana and the judges knew that. Corey was given a chance to improve before the end of the show.

Well, Dana did say Emerson won the fight. Later he had a few words to say about Emerson 'not going in there and getting it', but he admitted Corey was given the fight. You could even see it on his face when he announced Corey as winner.
Maybe he was feeling guilty, I dont know....

f he really wanted Emerson to be declared the winner, he would have done a little more than just complain to the camera. Sure there really isn't much he could have done, but he would have made his opinion much more known to the fighters and judges.

What would be the point of the president publically criticizing the refs? I m sure he expressed more emotion during the show, but they were smart enough to edit what could have been too much. Thats what I think...

Well like you said, at first Dana was saying that Emerson clearly won, but later he suddenly changed his mind and said that Emerson had the tools to win, but didn't capitalize. Why the sudden change? It could just be that Dana is a moron, but I doubt it.

As I said earlier, how does the UFC benefit itself by having Corey ****ing Hill advance to the quarter finals? IT DOESN'T.

Emerson has potential? He got his ass kicked by Nate Diaz AND lost a decision to a guy who had maybe what...5 weeks of MMA training and had his first MMA fight? Yeah, LOADS of potential.

The UFC doesn't benefit from this considering Corey Hill hasen't had extensive MMA training and he's going to lose his next fight no matter who he faces.

And anyway, we all know after this show is over they're going to bring back the majority of this show and work them in prelims at UFC events, then eventually work them up. So as I said before, the winner of the first round Corey/Emerson fight does not benefit the UFC what so ever...so quit *****ing about it, have some sense, and quit making lame shit excuses.

You're just a cook...

I actually didn't say that Emerson had potential, I said COREY has potential. learn how to read or stop attacking posts for the wrong reason.

The UFC might not necessarily benefit from Corey advancing, but Dana White will give Corey a chance because of his size.

Corey has obvious talent and if you can't see it, you're blind. I personally don't really like him and don't think he will win, but expect him to improve... A LOT.

He might not have very extensive training, but if he ends up fighting Cole, I think he could win. Cole displayed some of the worst stand-up on the show IMO, and if Corey gets his shit together and decides to be aggressive, he could knock him out.

Nah I dont think so. Dana likes everyone on the show im sure (other than Gabe) but he seemed to liked Emerson a little more, hence the second chance. So if anything it seems like the edge on the close fight decision wouldve gone to Emerson, so Dana wouldnt look dumb for bringin him back. I like to think the fights and judges and decisions on this reality show are legit.

I agree Dana has a boner for Emerson, but its even bigger for Corey, why else would let someone with no experience on the show?

I think that might be what happened and if they did do that I agree with it 100%. They know how good Emerson is and hes not that good. That was Coreys first fight and I think Dana and everyone else sees alot of potential in him. That fight couldve went either way so I think that was warranted. Emmerson couldve went for the win and he didnt do it just like Dana said. When it comes down to it its their show and they can do whatever the hell they want. Im sure they feel in the long run having Corey win is going to be better for business.
