I agree with this. I was hoping her losing would humble her a little, but unfortunately, it did not. Whatever helps her sleep at night I guess.

Shayna's mentor is Josh Barnett...she's just trying this OTT heel thing out and rolling with it.

Baszler losing harming WMMA? No way, can't see how that is the case.

Well she does a piss poor job of it. Barnett isn't a TUF fighter acting all high and mighty. Shayna is this long time vet. Ranked 8th by one publication for 135 womens. And has to resort to being in a TUF house. Bet your ass any 8th ranked mens fighter going into a TUF house would roll through the whole season....not lose in the first round.

Shayna wasn't being funny. Not saying anything profound. She was basically trashing her opponent and patting herself on the back over and over. We get it Shayna. You have been around a while. You are a dinosaur. You want a cookie? To be a heel, you have to be cleaver. SHayna isn't.

It didn't "hurt" WMMA. But it was the worse outcome. Shayna was ranked top 10! And she brought those skills? Makes WMMA look even thinner than it already is. Got to love fighters who think because they have fought tougher competition and have been around, that they are entitled to something.

Sort of sad. Shayna is a long time WMMA fighter. A pioneer. She says that she has been waiting for this moment all her career. Yet she uses the moment to trash a fellow WMMA competitor, pat herself on the back, and lose by submission. Yea Shayna. Looks like you have just waited for this chance. You really went out there and took advantage of it! What a crock. A real vet, pioneer, and fighter waiting a decade for her chance would have been more serious about taking care of business. She looked the opposite like a spoiled brat, entitled to beating anyone with less experience.

I think it was good for women's mma, it shows the new breed are better fighters it shows the division is flourishing and growing with competitive fighters.

A lot of these old time wmma fighters remind me a bit of Miguel Torres sitting on top of the division why it was really weak then not being able to keep up when it gains prominence and everyone else steps up a gear.

The difference is the newer fighters still suck....the older ones just are old on top of sucking.

That chick is terrible at every aspect of MMA...the only thing she has going for her is strength, a decent amount of athleticism(relative), and aggressiveness.

She came out swinging like a washwoman, horrible, clumsy technique with her chin straight in the air and any competent fighter(ie a male) would've knocked her silly in a minute. She makes Clay Guida look like Georgio Petrisiyan.

The good thing with her is the entire division of women are horrible at taking strikes so those wild washwoman windmill punches can take someone like Shayna out of a fight...as pitiful as it is to watch.

Chris Beal has some of the worst defense i have ever seen from what people were calling a "good striker" Everytime that kid threw a straight punch at him all he did was put his arms and out towards the attacker... Leaving the right a clear path to his noggin.

Yeah this season is garbage, the whole girl/guy thing is playing out like some high-school shit. There is more emphasis on drama than MMA, which is normal on TUF, but this season takes the cake for that. Oh well, I just download the episodes and skip to the actual fight now.
