I quite liked it, but the quality of fighters seems extremely poor, don't think even the winners will hang around in the UFC very long.

Felt like Season 1 again, no fights but at the very least I feel like I now know half the cast.

I do think we're going to see some English type deal, I mean it seems like Cung Le's whole job is translation (he speaks english and does quite a bit in the premiere), even the long haired guy that stands out speaks English to the Camera often.

He's like Dora the Explorer

Apparently one of the fighters is a Yoga Instructor who's never trained to fight in his life...

Li Jinyang

Which is similar to Chris Sanford from Season One who they brought in absurdly out of shape and wouldn't even let him fight.

You also have a playboy actor, a 36 year old thrill seaker (he's a Doctor Lawyer and MMA guy!).

I think some of these guys are just getting sent in to get destroyed so we get those high-lites.

Of-course on the other hand Jonathan Brookins and Deigo Sanchez are huge Yoga guys and they won their seasons.

Chris Sanford had at least had 4 fights before TUF 1 and also trained fighters at Cesar Gracie's gym, so at least he knew about MMA and had fought pro. And was only sent home for being one of the weakest fighters there. So not much of a similarity.

Doing Yoga? Fine, but an instructor who's never fought, let alone sparred in his life?

He was sent home for being fat, also Jason Thacker never fought and he was brought on the show.

One of the things you have to consider is that in Communist China they make picking and scouting athletes into a science. They don't focus on who the best are but rather those that have the potential to be the best.

The guys going to end up being one of two things, he's either going to demonstrate how tough the sport is or he's actually very good and he's going to be one of the "stories" of the season. In other words...he's either Luke Skywalker or Jar Jar Binks.
