Was Gabe the smartest contestant of the season?
 

I mean he didn't have to fight, he didn't train that hard, he didn't have to sacrifice really much of anything and he's become a household name in the world of MMA. There is no doubt he will get to fight in the UFC again...Dana is a business man and you can bet your ass he sees the appeal of bringing in a fighter that EVERYONE despises. Christ some fighters spend years trying to cultivate a persona a that everyone loathes to make themselves a crowd draw...Gabe did easily and almost effortlessly. And when he does get his shot he's going be so underestimated and come in to the fight with nothing to lose that he could very well surprise everyone.

Gabe certainly wasn't the smartest. That may have been his master plan is becoming infamous but now, he got denied a fight in California because they found him mentally unstable to fight. Nice try Gabe, now go away.

And also, I don't see Gabe being any more of a well-known name among the show's fans than Marlon Sims or maybe even Weems.

i think its smart to cause drama on the show cuz then fans do want to see u. however, he would have been alot smarter if he caused drama and made weight and actually tried to win the entire show. guarenteed he wont be as big of a name as the winner of the show

Smart in a way, but dumb if he can't get licensed to fight. I might have to agree with BooyaKascha about Marlon Sims being the smartest fighter for making a household name, but do you really want to be known as that fighter who talks all the $hit. Fighter who can't make the weight and lets out a death cry who most people hate or the fighter who talks all the shit YOU PICK. Gabe is probably going to be a bigger ticket seller than Marlon Sims in the future though so who knows.

Because being the most loathed and despised is just as big a ticket seller as being the most loved and respected...sometimes it's an even bigger draw.

You guys do realize he lost his liscence to fight in California so the UFC won't touch him. Dana White's plan is to keep as many State Athletic Commissions happy as possible. He isn't gonna go against one that he worked so hard to get for a loser who cannot make weight. Gabe was a moron.
