dana white in a sensible act has cancelled the backyard brawl 2 claiming spike tv wanted the fight not him he goes on to say that neither will even fight in the ufc ever .posted on ufc junkie
I guess then it was Spike TV that wanted the fight to be showed and not Dana's. I do have to wonder about his staunch stance on them never fighting in the UFC again tho.
I'm a bit at odds with this. I mean on the one hand, you have Dana saying it was exactly how he didn't want the UFC to be represented. On the other hand, they showed the whole thing in the episode to increase ratings and make more money.

I had been wondering ever since he said that why they showed and then how could you write/edit the episode to not show the fight but refer back to it. And whats funny is basically the same thing happened with Chris "The catsmasher" Leben in season 1 with the only exception being he didn't hit anyone but then Dana was all understanding and shit....or so I remember him being.
I doubt Dana really had much to say about that fight being in the episode or not. TUF is a show on Spike the executives at Spike are gonna make most of those decisions. People tend to think Dana makes every single decision on anything that has to do with the UFC.
guess the world won't get to see Sims tap out on live TV now to bad. maybe a smaller promotion will pick them up for this fight so Mr destuctable can show how much he has improved in his tapping out skills
in a way i would like to see those 2 settle it once and for all...and see noah tap out sims. but on the other hand i do agree with dana and have quality fights and not some backyard brawl 2 soiling the reason for the Ultimate Fighter...The 6 figure Contract.
I would bet anything on them fighting in another organisation. Its just something that WILL happen. They both need to save face as the backyard fight was pretty much a stalemate and I can deffo see another org cashing in.
I agree that they shouldn't have been allowed to fight at the finale. I disagree with them announcing the fight and then changing their mind later on.
