Manny did a good job controlling the fight. He did what he had to do to win, and he did.

Also, the reason Joe couldn't sink that choke in the whole way is basically because Manny has no neck to speak of. When your sweaty, with a small neck, and a chin that doesn't stick a whole hell of a lot further out past your neck, then you don't really need to worry about chokes. Just like Jeff Monson.

I was entertained by that fight and I though Manny did a good job. Lauzon is a solid fighter and it seemed like no easy job to keep top position on him. I didn't feel like I was watching a lay n pray match - that is more for greco roman wrestlers who dont have the experience to pass guard and go for in-guard gnp wins. I didnt feel like that was happeneing in that fight.

Just by its nature LW is not a lay n pray division so if thats what ur driving at I dont see that. plus KOS has developed a lot and is not a boring fighter to me anyway. Give Manny his due also.

I don't know...I thought Manny was doin a lil layin and prayin myself! He also likes to use his head a bit huh? Maybe tryin to get a cut? Hmmmm, I noticed last week he was grabbin at Wiman's cut too, kind rubbin it a lil bit. I don't know, something about Manny that I just don't like. He's aggressive don't get me wrong....just something bothers me about him.

did you watch the same fight as everyone else? the whole first period was lay and pray and the rest of the fight was too. the only thing manny did was try the ankle lock and the guillotone besides that he layed on joe and rubbed his head around his face like a ***. i can't stand manny and he seems kinda dirty like when he rubbed wiman's cut and then rubbing his head on joe like he was trying to cut him and don't say cutting someone is a good way to win cuz its cheap

I agree WTF is going on with Manny rubbing his head on people. Is he trying to stubble stab people and open them up?

Does anybody have a vid of the fight, if you watch it I think it's the 1st or 2nd round, I swear to god Manny headbutts him once or twice while on top. Anybody else catch that?

Good fight, Lauzon was definitely not going to his "gameplan" at all. I wish he would have done a little better.

are you an idiot? ask yourself that question, and your saying a great choke defense, there was no ******* choke defense whatsoever that manny was displaying at the moment. Joe was exhausted, and that is why he didnt sink it in, he knew if he tried to and rolled over on his back Manny would break out of it, just like he did. stupid white belt karate bitch wannabe

...

Some of you have no clue...

If Joe had any take down def. whatsoever he wouldnt have had to worry, manny did what he needed each round to win that fight, you dont win a fight by just laying on someone period, he caught joe many times, he was easily up the first 2 rounds, so maybe yes he waited out the clock the last round, if joe had more ground skills he would have reversed it. i can recall a hw fight recently that was similar to this fight, not identical but similar and i dont see any of you running your mouth about couture. a fight is all about doing what you need to do to win Manny did it joe didnt period, before any of you talk shit enter the ring see what its like...I know most of you have not ever done it, you sit in your chair and coach from the sidelines...If you are up in a fight and know it you preserve your win you dont move away from what is successful, that is when you will make a mistake and lose, like Hill did he had that fight won if he stayed on his feet, Manny is a smart fighter whether you like it or not...so run your mouth and then get on his bandwagon when he wins this whole shit...

Don't care if he wins, or even if he somehow became the most dominant LW and managed to get the belt. I'll never be on his bandwagon.
