Manny vs Nate

Everyone's excited to watch Penn vs Pulver 2. We've all been discussing it, but I've noticed that the Manny vs Nate fight got overlooked. So, boys, let's discuss some Manny vs Nate!

I know that these two are very controversial fighters, with fans and A LOT of haters. So, I'll give you my opinions, then you can give me yours.

Manvel Gambaryan:
Manny seems to have this philosophy of 'only the strong DESERVE to survive' and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way. He's also considered an LnP fighter. I believe his GnP compliments his submissions well, though he doesn't seem to be very efficient at either one. Personally, I think Dana was an idiot the way he underestimated him. I'm a slim guy, so I know how physically irritating it is to go up against short stocky people.

Nathan Diaz:
This guy seems to be all about respect. The only times I've seen him go off is when he's felt disrespected. Nate may need some anger management, but who really disliked Bobby Knight due to his short temper? I adore his submission skills. The way he transitioned submissions, during his fight with Gray Maynard, was mesmerizing. That was what I believe to be the EPITOME OF BEAUTY of this sport, closely followed by Chute Boxe's clinch game.

I believe this fight will take place mostly on the ground. Manny on top working his GnP and looking for submissions. Nate on the bottom waiting to catch Manny in a submission.

Regardless of who ends up winning this fight, you should expect to see A LOT of them in the UFC in the near future. One of them may even be your future UFC LW Champ.

Who is your pick to win? My pick is Nathan I think he will catch Manny in a submission and Nathan was my pick from the beginning anyways.

im really looking forward to this TUF card

we get to see of course

pulver vs bj for free

not to mention manny vs nate

and then even huerta vs evans

i was wondering if anyone had any info on this evans besides his mma record of 6 and 0

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

I've never counted out Manny, but my pick is Nate. By triangle choke or gogoplata.

I chose Nate to win from the beginning merely because of the fact he was Nick Diaz's younger brother.

I don't want Manny to win..he annoys me. I'm predicting Nate will get a submission off of his back and take it.

You've seen how small Manny's neck is. No way Nathan will land a gogoplata on him.

You can't throw solid punches when you duck your chin. Manny will open up. Regardless, you're right, it is difficult, even more so due to Manny's bulky physique. Still, the only submission I can see Nate pulling off against Manny will have to be from his back.

Manny is going to get the takedown and then get caught in a triangle. Nate by sub.
