Head coach says Penn will be ready for light weight return

Between Rounds

“What really happened and what was shown on TV were sometimes two different things. But that’s what being on a reality show is. There are directors and producers. A lot of the real behind the scenes stuff like Joe Lauzon coming in with a fractured hand or having a chipped bone in his elbow after one of his fights were not made known. He went into that fight with Manny with three injuries that I normally wouldn’t let guys fight with but with his determination…that kid is tough. I’ll just say that. I really respect that kid. I like him a lot and he has world championship potential” says Valentino.
And
Quote:
“BJ is looking in top shape. He’s been down at 158-lbs for the past three weeks now. He has a conditioning coach who also serves as his nutrition coach. He has really been working with BJ well. BJ has been running five to eight miles a day. He’s in the best shape of his life. More so than when he fought (Georges) St. Pierre and more so than when he fought Hughes” asserts Rudy.
I'm pretty pumped, dude.

I knew there was no way he was going to come into his revenge fight looking like Big Timmy. He won't be shredded up, but he'll be fast, flexible, and last all three rounds no prob.

In fact, I'll take a sig bet on BJ if anyone wants it....

I really can't wait to see this fight, I think BJ will kill him standing and on the ground.

“I think after the last fight with Matt Hughes (at UFC 63 last September) where he broke his rib and all of that, I think (UFC match maker) Joe Silva approached BJ with this idea of going against Jens and doing the show. BJ started to think, ‘you know what? I can fight at 155 again.’ If BJ beats Jens it looks like he will get to fight the winner of Sean Sherk and Hermes Franca (who are meeting to battle for Sherk’s UFC lightweight championship July 7th on Pay Per View)” says Valentino.
Holy chit, I skipped passed this part.

Hell yea, I told you guys BJ is not playin around anymore. That GSP fight really woke him up. He was in incredible shape for the Hughes fight it just sucks a lot of people still think his conditioning had something to do with his injury. I can't wait till the "BJ is known for gassing" discussion is gone.

Jack Sparrow has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I love how everyone is counting Pulver out, and once he beats BJ everyone will jump on his bandwagon. Total Bullshit.
