Weigh-Ins at 6 p.m. ET Today

Weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale, which takes place tomorrow at The Pearl (in The Palms Las Vegas) and airs on Spike TV, takes place today beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

The event, which is open to the public, can be found at the Soprano Ballroom on the second floor of The Palms. It’s expected to run until 8 p.m. ET.

The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale, which airs tomorrow at 9 p.m. on Spike TV, is headlined by a match between the season’s two coaches, B.J. Penn and Jens Pulver.

Penn and Pulver first met at UFC 35 in 2002, and despite being the lightweight champion, Pulver entered the bout as a heavy underdog. In one of the UFC’s most legendary battles, Pulver won a five-round majority decision to retain the 155-pound belt.

The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale also features the show’s two finalists competing for a UFC contract. Nate Diaz and Manny Gamburyan, both from Pulver’s team, won three fights on the show to make it to the finals.

We’ll have results from today’s weigh-ins posted here on UFCjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, MMA news, UFC rumors, UFC gossip, fighter interviews and event previews and recaps - UFCjunkie.com) later today.
