#1 manny will never be a champ - reason - he`s got a reoccurring injury in short he`s done. and thats sad because the guy is a tank and probably could go far otherwise. thing is that type of problem will just get worse and worse.
#2 nate is probably the most obviously undeserving tuf champ yet. he was losing to manny badly, he`s got some moves on the ground but he`s get overpowered by almost everyone and so he`d be stuck preying on guys that arent good with defending submissions. his punches are weaksauce.
#3 corey hill has a LONG way to go. he`s just started but his freak body might take him places, certainly further then nate would imo but never a champ. if they had this tuf starting next season and he had a little more time in serious training i think people could get more of a good grasp on his fighting skill.
about the only one i`d agree with would be lauzon because he could be an animal, he needs to get a little stronger and a bit quicker on transitions.
#1 You might be right, but I dont know. Just because Manny's shoulder popped out in a couple fights (one of which he won) doesnt mean it's gonna pop out in every fight. He might end up the Ken Griffey of mma, badass when he's not injured, but injured too often to really live up to his potential, who knows.
#2 I agree that he might be an undeserving TUF champ but youre seriously underestimating Nate's ground game. It's submission attempt after submission attempt after submission attempt after submission attempt BOOM fight's over Nate wins. I also like his demeanor in fights, it fits his style well. He doesnt worry about who's winning the round, or if his face is bloody or whatever he just continues to do what he has to do, very calmly and efficiently. His striking is also better than his TUF fights would have you think.
#3 Corey's gonna have some awesome standup, mark my words. Every guy he fights is gonna be tryin to take him down. His takedown defense looks like it could be molded into something impressive as well. Nothing but potential for this guy.
Lauzon's already proven he can fight. He fights smart and agressive, which is a cool combination. However I think he needs to work on takdown defense for when he fights guys like Manny.
Melendez has great striking (maybe the best on the show), his ground game looked sloppy against Joe though. Giving up your back then trying to spin is not a good game plan.
Gray's a great wrestler. He doesnt lay n prey he ground n pounds, which is awesome. His striking has looked solid lately as well. Once he gets some bjj and sub defense he's gonna be a force.
Matt Wiman and Cole Miller are my wild cards. I wanna see each of them in another fight..perhaps against eachother?
