Could any of the LW's on TUF realisticly be title contenders in the UFC?

i for one dont think any of them have the tools to have a good shot at the belt with bj and ahserk around.

and with guys like stevenson, fisher, florian, guillard, franca,stout......itll be hard to get into contender status

Cory Hill in a year or two is the most realistic shot at a champion but Lauzon, Manny, Nate, and Cole are outside shots.

Joe, Brandon, Nate, Corey, these guys definitely have potential and they're young. They've still got a lot to learn. They just need to find good camps.

Yeah, forgot about Cole and Gray.

Obviously Nate, J-Lo and Manuel will be contenders but I think the darkhorse, "the Josh Kozcheck", of season 5 will be Rob Emerson. His striking is lethal and he showed take down defense 2nd to only Chuck Lidell. Emerson is going to be a major factor at 155, you heard it hear first.

edit* also watch out for Cole Miller, Gray and Gerrihty.

I think Lauzon could very well turn into an animal, he has a long way to go before he can stand his own for a title but I think some day he will get there. I think that Matt Wiman will end up being very POPULAR some day also but I dont think he will ever fight for the belt.

I'd say this season of TUF was the best in a while. Bisping's group was the absolute worst. I'd say its unfortunate that Manny got hurt, but he's definitely got a shot if he makes it back. I liked Lauzon, but I think Gray will be the most successful (or Hill). He only had a couple of fights coming into the season.

Gray went into the season with only a year's experience in MMA. He trains with Randy Couture. He basically doubled his skills from the first fight to the finale (how much more will he improve?). Trust me, he has a very bright future in the UFC. All he really needs is a better BJJ game.

Nah Rob's a can.

But I do think there's eight guys with a legitimate chance to turn into contenders..Nate, Manny, Joe, Brandon, Matt, Cole, Gray, Corey

Huerta, Sherk, and on the newcomer side Tavares.
I don't see any if the TUF crowd going through those three any time soon.

How long are you projecting out?
BJ Penn will probably go back up, and some of the other older guys will eventually pass way leaving some opportunities.
