I think most world class Thai boxers could steamroll through any of the so called UFC "champions". It's laughable the way these guys come running in head first, arms flailing, lunging for leg grabs, etc...the fights would be short and sweet and a lot of UFC careers would come to an abrupt end.

Well, that's why I think Vera is going to have a very successful career in MMA. He's a great Thai boxer, world class, who has the common sense to give some credibility to his ground game with BJJ, though I haven't seen it used yet.

I really think that of all sports to come into MMA from, Thai Boxing and Freeform Grappling (like Abu Dhabi) are probably the best. I definitely think that Vera is next in line for the title shot at the winner of Monson/Sylvia, if he doesn't drop down. He beats Sylvia standing and on the ground, and I think his Thai is world's better than Monson's, regardless of Jeff's notable boxing credentials.

I'd love to see a guy with the experience and credentials of Dellagrotte fight in the UFC. I think it would give some real challenges to the guys who are big on KO's.
