I've been smoking pot for 7 years and I'm 21. I drank for about a year and half when I was 16-17 and have never done anything harder than pot (intentionally) although I have smoked some primo unknowingly and that sucked. But I don't and never have had any desire in any way to do anything harder than pot. You can't generalize it as a gateway drug because a handful of people go on to do harder things, that doesn't have anything to do with pot, that is just how your mind works, everyone's different. Alcohol is actually what leads to harder drugs because alcohol is accepted by society as a safe alternative to pot and it's legal when in reality alcohol is much worse than pot healthwise and driving wise. You can't O.D. on pot, you can O.D. on alcohol with one bottle of Jack that you bought legally from the store.

i could'nt agree more, if someone does pot them moveson to harder things (as harsh as it might sound) its their problem, not the pot.

Ive smoked pot too, have not done anything else and dont smoke pot anymore either, so hows that?

Not to mention it your choice to smoke pot just like its ur choice to do other things, the pot does nto jump out at you and say hey smoke me dude.

Also what's great about pot compared to other drugs is it's not addictive in the way cigarettes are. Is this mental addiction or physical addiction? I'm not sure but it's addictive in the way sweets are which means you crave the high because it's fun like eating sweets but you don't crave it because you feel like you NEED it like cigarettes and coke and heroin and meth and crank and speed and beer and liquor all do.

I think pot and chocolate is mentally addictive

And all those other things I said are physically addictive

Am I right?

Anyway the point of this was most people can quit smoking pot no problem. I quit every now and then mainly to lower my tolerance but also just to enjoy life for a couple months without using pot as a crutch. Then I realize how ****ed up our world is and start smoking pot again so I can enjoy this depressing thing we call life haha. But it does feel good to quit sometimes and I can do it no problem. Cigarettes on the other hand.....maybe one day....

everything has a "gateway". Kindergarden "leads" to grade school, petty crime "leads" to bigger crimes, finding god "leads" to religon. The gateway arguement is a cop-out excuse. Besides, I don't know too many people to tried pot before cigaretts and alchohol, so if anything is a gateway, it's those 2 legal substances.

P.S. If you've never smoked it, then you don't know sh*t about it.

From what I've seen of Shonie Carter's cardio, there's basically no way in hell he could. Unless he's on a killer regimen then he's probably not smoking. He's a professional athlete, and he's not an idiot.
