The Ultimate Fighter 23 is a go

– The UFC announced today, via press release, that tryouts for the Ultimate Fighter 23 will take place on December 14th at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 23rd season of The Ultimate Fighter will begin filming in January and is scheduled to premiere on FS1 in April 2016. the audition will be for women’s strawweight and bantamweight fighters, as well as men’s light heavyweight competitors. Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 34 years of age, have the legal ability to live and work in the United States, and have professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight experience – holding a winning record with a minimum of three professional fights (with verifiable records). Applications, which should be completed and brought to the tryouts, can be found here.

Fighters will be required to grapple & hit pads and bring appropriate gear. Applicants will be notified at the end of the day if they have been selected to move on in the casting process. If selected, applicants must be prepared to stay in Las Vegas until Saturday, December 19, 2015. Questions can be directed to: TUFcasting@ufc.com
Good weight classes 32 LHW's would be awesome and desperately needed.

They did one last year but they stupidly had Kelly Anundson vs Corey Anderson in the first round as a fight get into the house. For some reason they've been especially crap at LHW matchmaking for TUF. Sean O'Connell and Ryan Jimmo were also knocked out in the get into the house round

After the announcement of The Ultimate Fighter 23, many strawweights and bantamweights marked their calendars and geared up for the chance to be a part of the UFC.

On Monday they commenced at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas to impress the UFC brass.

Here is a running list of hopefuls so far, which will be updated throughout the day. As of now there are 26 strawweights and 15 bantamweights trying out, but still compiling names for all of them.

I think Tonya Evinger needs to get signed by the UFC cause she seriously deserves it. Anyways I'm pulling for Pearl in this case for a position. Also I thought they are using the three fight and winning record rule whereas a bunch of these women are below three fights and don't have winning records.
