MMA1990 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Iv actually turned a new leaf in the way I look at Abaddi. I use to make lots of jokes about him sucking but really I have much more respect for him as a fighter now. Guys like Rafferty and Thacker have never been herd of again but Abaddi is getting good coaching and is working hard to becoem a UFC contender. He dosent turn down fights either. When he was set up to fight Herman he didnt back down at all he's not looking for an easy route to become a fighter and he dose step in that octagon and fight which many people wouldnt do. I take back all the negitve comments iv said about abaddi. This isnt sarcasim and I really dont care if people make fun of me for it . Abaddi's not on my top ten list but I have respect for him as a fighter now.

How many fights have you seen this guy in??? The only time I've seen him fight is once and that was against Ed. From his record he has only had like 4 pro fights and one 2 of em, so what makes him so bad. Is it because he got over powered for most of the match, it's not like that hasn't happend to some of the greats before. All I'm saying is people say this guy sucks, but what other reasons do you have other than the match he had with Ed? Not saying I agree or disagree I would just like to know why he sucks so bad. I will hold off on my opinion until after his next few fights.

Alot of the people on this forum do step into the cage, regularly. Let me tell you, I've watched a lot of dominant grappling performances, some of which can be credited to crappy opponents, but what Ed Herman did to Danny Abbadi was pathetic.

People say Danny's been training in TKD since he was 9. Sure he has, but it's just TKD. It's not like he has a forth degree blackbelt in BJJ (Royce Gracie) or an NCAA wrestling title (Randy Couture). He's a crappy fighter, with no urge to learn how to fight on the ground, we saw that his ground game was just as bad in his last fight as it was against Herman.

Not only that, but Abbadi doesn't have the power to KO someone in one strike. He couldn't do it to Herman and he won't be able to do it to Gurgel. He's going to the ground and he's going to be submitted.

ur facts are true ironman, but abbadi isnt a true middleweight, and he was fighting a pretty good ground fighter in herman..he might not have ko power at the middleweight level but since hes moving down he might..right now he sucks, but he seems athletic and and if he trains hard enough maybe he can improve..but u have to admit hes better than thacker and. rafferty, at least he landed a punch

I here you, jdun, but he wasn't looking that athletic in training and Ed Herman's groundnpound isn't that great, as we saw against Kendall. If he had lost to Chris Leben, who is a top flight team Quest grappler, I would have been a little more understanding.

Even in moving down, he is still at a power disadvantage. Unless he manages to drop down to lightweight I don't think he'll have a power advantage. Against a good lightweight like Sherk or Florian, he'd get smashed.

Danny definitely is not in the league with Sherk or Florian. But these, "This guy sucks" threads need to be removed.

This isn't my area, so I don't have the power to do that, but I don't have an issue with this thread. No one's cursing or making threats or anything like that, so what's the big deal?

I'll bet Danny has KO power. I don't know how many of you guys have taken TKD in your life but it sounds like most of you are just repeating what you heard Joe Rogan say, "TKD is pretty much useless in the octagon" which is completely false. Sure, it's not the best and it's not good just by itself, but TKD is extremely effective. Half the shit you see in the standup game comes from TKD. TKD teaches you how to punch and strike in a way that you will only have to do it once. I know how to hit someone and knock them out and I am smaller than Danny. TKD is much like Bruce Lee's techniques in that it teaches you how to kill or severely injure your opponent as fast and easily as possible and even to multiple opponents at once. I agree that TKD alone is not enough to be successful in the octagon, but it IS extremely effective. You know who else trains in TKD and uses it on a regular basis? Rich Franklin, David Loiseau, Stephan Bonnar, Anderson Silva, and now Fedor is currently focusing a lot of attention on his TKD training. Unless you've trained in TKD, you don't have the right to say that it's inneffective. I guarantee a stiff sidekick to your ribs is a bit more effective than most submissions. TKD teaches the kinetics of a strike, leg or hand. There are ways to strike that can KO your opponent instantly with not too much power. Also I don't know about Danny, but when I did TKD, we had some ground training as well, not much but some. I think that was just our instructors preference though. Just educating you guys, not bashing.

There are 10 fighters I can name that are almost as bad as Danny Abaddi, a couple from the Ultimate Fighter show actually. Jason Thacker, John Rafferty are worse definitely. Alex whatever his last name is who got killed by Swick on the first finale show is terrible too but not as bad as Abaddi. Abaddi isn't as bad as people say, he just has poor defense, hes pretty good with his spinning kicks and leg kicks. Its just his homosexual personality I hate with him and Matt Hamill.
