I have never watched a TUF episode.. what am i missing ?

I live in Norway so there is no way for me to watch the TUF shows and i wonder what im missing out on. I do get to see the winners and runner ups in ufc shows but they seldom seem to be top notch.

i would like to point out that i have been a pride/ufc fan for 10 or so years so as stated before its not becouse i dont WANT to see em, its becouse i cant. ( yes i know there are some episodes out on torrents but it makes no sence watching an episode here and an episode there.

anyways.... what am i missing ?

If you have decent internet I can give you a link to download the shows like I do. I live in Australia so we don't get the shows on TV here so I have to download them. I like it better because there are no ads and you have them saved onto your computer so you can watch them whenever to want.

You're missing out on a pretty good show imo. I really like the show. You get to see the build-up of legitimate rivalries and you get to know more about the fighters before they step into the octagon to fight at the finale. They can also get up to some hilarious antics.

So yeah, if you want to download the shows go here.

Xtreme Wrestling Torrents

Tell me if you don't know how to work torrents and I can talk you through it.

To answer your question the show is basically been bringing out a couple of decent fighters in recent years. First season brought the best talent in Diego, Koscheck, Swick, Forrest, and Florian. Lately this latest season seemed to have no real future talent. and from what I've read about TUF 6 the fighters don't seem that great.

Last season they had Nate Diaz, Joe Lauzon, Cole Miller and Manny G who are all talented and should do pretty well. Corey Hill has the Physical tools to be a monster at 155, but it's too early to make a call on him. I wasn't too impressed with the rest of the fighters.

Season 1 IMO had the most talent in, Diego, Grffen, Koscheck, Florien, Swick, Quarry and Bonnar. It was also the most entertaining.

Season 2 had Stevenson, Rashad, Marcus Davis, Luke Cummo and Melvin Guillard. They are all good fighters with Joe Stevenson being the best IMO.

Season 3 was the weakest IMO, Bisping, Hamill and Grove were the top fighters that season, so that should tell you how competitive season 3 was.

Season 4 had Matt Serra, Lutter, Lytle, Cote, Din Thomas. With the exception of a few guys, that season had good fighters.

All in all, every season has some good fighters and some sucky fighters. The closest thing to a an A-level fighter to come out of TUF is Matt Serra, I say that only because he is the current WW champ. I don't really count him as a TUF fighter anyway because he is a veteran.

TUF is an entertaining show that produces a handful of solid fighters every year.

I don't count the TUF 4 season since those guys were all established fighters. TUF 5 Had Cole Miller who has some potential but doesn't look like anything special. same with Nate Diaz and Joe Lauzon. Manny could be a force at 145 but he is boring as shit. I agree with Hill but he has a long way to go and at 28 with a family it could be hard.

I don't count the guys on TUF 4 as "TUF fighters" either, but technicly they were on the show. when talking about TUF 4 their should be an asterics*.

I really got into Manny's fights, he pushed the pace, is a hard puncher and works well on the ground. I like the intensity that he brings.

I agree that Cole Miller has skills but will probably never be more than an undercard guy or the 2nd or 3rd fight on a UFN.

Like I said about Hill before, He has the physical tools to be a top fighter but we have yet to see him fight other than on TUF, so It's impossible to tell how good he'll be.

Manny is exicting for the first 50 secs then he gets the guy to the ground and just does enough to keep it from getting stood up. I don't really enjoy his fighting style and I love ground guys.
