That comparison offends me

Nick/Nate Diaz are awesome. I think this guy's a tool. I hope he get pounded in the second round.

My fave Nate Diaze quote was from the TUF 5 finale. He says something like

"People ask me I feel like I'm living in Nick's shadow. What's so bad about being in Nick's shadow. It's a lot better than being in Karo Parisyan's shadow ... that'd suck"

I think Ben was just trying to be funny with the wife comment because his wife is hot. Anyway, it was pretty stupid to say.

Wow, Barrera is an animal. Maybe he can teach Rich Franklin a thing or two about taking a vicious knee to the face and living to tell about it

That was a great match, however no question really that Ben won.

I think if he trained a lot more, I could see Dan doing really well. But he didn't know how to do anything, just basically punch. What I don't understand is, that he kept getting trying to get a clinch, and he kept getting clinch except he was completely useless in it, all he would do is clinch and underhook him. Then after underhooking him, Ben would respond usually with some knees. But like I said even though it was obvious they both have no ground game at all, and Dan is suppose to be a striker, he still controlled the fight from going to the ground. Also for the last couple seconds of the second round he looked like he was controlling everything on the ground, ill be poor ground work, but that he was still controlling is what I'm trying too get across.

I like Dan. I was really hoping he would go in there and pound on Ben. He certainly deserved a pounding after that remark he made. I was just disappointed overall by Dan. There's much potential in him though. He seems to be very passionate and trains very hard, and is mentally tough. He should have listened to his coaching more. That was one of the things he stated at the beginning of the season, to try to soak up all the knowledge he could, yet he wasn't following any of Hughes' advice during the fight. Most of it I can tell is due to inexperience, so hopefully he grows from this. He was way too tentative out there, but he could take some shots. He caught a few knees flush to the face.

This was the best episode of the season to me. Last 2 episodes have been good me thinks.

I could kick Dan's ass and I walk around at 155 lbs. That guy is a joke.

The last 2 episodes these guys have gotten a call from home. The last 2 guys to call home lost. Possible if they keeped there head in the house they wouldve dont better. But I am thinking dans hand injury might have hurt him more then he let people know. Also if thats his power hand that might of stopped him from dropping bombs on ben. He didnt fight any better than blake. Blake got a few lucky knees and dan got a lucky punch and well it was kind cool see him bash ben out of an arm bar, I was in awe after that because it was so barbaric.

They are Fundamentalist/Orthodox Christians.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, but their perspective is truly one of good vs evil with complete belief that God and/or Satan specifically acts for/against them on an individual basis.

She is probably completely dependent on him for her mental and spiritual support, and his absence leaves her vulnerable to the wicked of the world. Dan will also reconcile his injury and his home life as passing this test given to them by God (his own words) and that Dana's $5k is proof that God will provide if he maintains true to his goals of supporting his family through MMA.

I knew he was going to lose because of all the spotlight he got in this episode, that usually happens.

Fighters to watch
John Salter
Chris 'The Chronic' Conolley
Marcus 'The Bruiser' Brimage
Adrian 'Guard Yo Grill' Miles
Andy Roberts

I liked both Ben and Dan, they both showed a lot of heart and both took some good hits and kept going, but Dan did lose some of his heart near the end, good call by the judges I think. Can't wait to see these guys with some more experiance, both have some potential with Bens long reach and quarter mile long legs to Dans power punches and potential lighting fast speed, these two should go far in time.
