How do They Improve TUF Series??
The title pretty much says it all, over the last couple of weeks I have been coming on here and seeing ppl. constantly bitch and moan about how bad about the latest installment of TUF is. So I was wondering how would you make better? Here is your chance please respond. Would you go back to two weight classes, more coaches, no coaches, to allow phone calls to family and maybe let them roam around more?
Me, well I think the one weight class is fine and dandy, I also like the dropping challenge BS from Season 1 and the coach that wins keeps the hammer. However, I hate the training facility, why not have them train somewhere else? Maybe do a season in Big Bear with tito training along with Rampage? Or and I know this probably won't work now but use Randy gym and do some stuff there. Also allow freaking phone calls the sport to me is 90% mental and as has been shown the loss of contact has a drastic effect on both fighter and loved ones. Beyond that I think it should also have "crowds" at the matches, yes I know they are exhibtions so don't charge to get in, kinda like TNA in FL. I don't know how much it would cost to do commentators, so maybe find someone or some guys for cheap and throw them in there, is Bas busy?
I just think if the show is going to continue with talk of a MW one next or was it HW I cannot remember it would be fun to go over some ideas for improving it. Also, you can bitch and moan all you want but if it comes to improving something few if any seem to ever speak up. I kinda of got this idea of pro wrestleing forums I use to frequent where it was a common thread if your going to bitch RAW sucked then how would you run it....you get the idea I hope.
Discuss.

1. Bas and Randy coaching.
2. Training ELSEWHERE
3. More detailed commentary/information about training & diet.
4. I agree 100% about allowing phone use. i think any book should be permitted also. those guys go mental fast enough as it is w/out these unnecessary regulations
5. attempt to educate viewers further in the technical aspects of mma

Get some guys with actual fights and potential to become great. Like guys with raw talent.

What he said! Also, the need more compitition and less drama! Maybe they should bring back the Rightguard xtreme challenges! It was fun watching the teams compete against each other IMO!

I actually liked the challenges.
At least that gave us something to watch other than the high school drama in the house.
I think they need to show more training and techniques, not just short clips of guys hitting a bag or rolling.

I think this season has very much raw talent, but many people complain about the fights being sloppy. That's what you get with RAW talent. Refined talent gives you refined fights, RAW talent = RAW fights.
I think there's 2 or 3 really good fighters down the line out of the middle of this TUF class, if they get good training and follow it.

In my orginial post I was thinking of trying to work something about Fight Girls on Oxygen...they at least have use of computers for email I think and there mothers were at most if not all fights. Not to mention Brandon Vera's wife had him when they went over seas.

Man, if they could pull it off, I'd have them clone Bas so he could coach BOTH teams. Not only does he actually know what he's talking about, he never fails to crack me up.

I think more gym and training stuff. I probably liked TUF3 the most because, in addition to Ken's craziness, you saw quite a lot about Tito's training methods, and a lot of stuff with Matt Hammill and Michael Bisping in the gym. It seemed there was a bit more gym and a bit less house. And that worked very well for me.
