Funny, cuz season 2 prolly had the most overall talent, prolly why it was so stale.
I agree with the OP, I've been wondering the same thing.

They have one fighter on this show that could make it in the UFC, and that is obviously Mac Danzig.
They should have just called this show TUF: Mac Danzig, because all this show is, is an obvious marketing tool to market Mac Danzig into the UFC. They knew what they were doing when they threw an experienced well rounded fighter like Mac with a bunch of guys that have suck shit as fighters.
It's a great way for them to showcase Mac because it'll get him that TUF demographic group to root for him. I do like Mac, I can't help but to root for the guy and his personality I do like, but this show was obviously tailor made for Mac to win it.
All this talk about how some of these fighters are talented...no, they are amatuers. All this talk about George? Does anyone actually watch this show? This guy is as slow as Lutter and telegraphs everything, he wouldnt stand a chance against Danzig nor anyone really in the UFC.

I completely agree here.. The only good fighters I see in this show are Matt Arroyo, Mac Danzig, and Georgey boy. The rest.. pretty much suck.
I walk around at 155 lbs, and I swear I can kick half those guys' asses.
@ above poster: the only problem is Mac Danzig is a 155 lb. fighter. After the show he's likely to drop since he only put on weight for the show to get in the UFC.

It is not quite as bad as some people are making it seem. There are a few decent guys on the show but I will agree that at least half these dudes are terrible and they are definately not the best guys that they can find.

Maybe they should have a reality show with guys who arnt fighters and dont train and try to build em up from scrap, this could be interesting but in reality god knows how pathetic the fights may be. Could be interesting as amatures would sure get funky LOL
I dunno these guys seem close to never having actually fought or train either so possibly outcome would be the same

This is my post from some other thread.
I would say earlier seasons really looked for talent and were extemely successful with some of the stars we have seem come out of TUF but since TUF 5 or so I've seen some people on the show that I know didn't even come close to deserving to be on the show..especially since the past two seasons, 5 and 6, have been lighter weights shich has such a deep talent pool. I know they could have chosen more competitive welterweights for this season. Sure you have Danzig who already really proved he was a good fighter before the show and George Sotiropoulis
but not really anyone else. You can't have all studs but they are given the task to find the top 16 guys in the country so I would think they could find guys with a little bit better talent like in the earlier seasons. I mean Wayne Weems on season 5. That was un called for. There is no way anyone saw talent in him. I think that was strictly for ratings so people would laugh at how bad he was. Things like that make me question the show sometimes.
And yes i feel like i could beat up bowman too.
