Nah, I love Serra. He has made the show real funny, he's a very interesting guy, great coach and his team seem to love him. The same can't really be said with Hughes.

Wait, people actually had respect for Matt Serra to lose in the first place? I had no idea.

Honestly, he annoyed me on TUF4, and he annoys me now.

I thought he handled his fighters going against each other really poorly, not conernering his guys said to me that he puts himself above the guys he's supposedly there for.

He also seems to have his fighters convinced that this show really is about the teams, rather than the individuals, which I don't agree with in the least.

Haha I loved J-Rocks impression of Serra during his fight

"George, your pickin him ah-paht!"

Hilarious. Anyway, I like Serra I think Serra is just underestimated because he wasnt really known (even though he was good) until he was on TUF and he isnt overly-smug about being the WW champ. Hell if I was the WW champ I'd gloat from time to time too, and anyway Hughes didnt deserve the belt he got lucky in BJ Penn round 2

I didn't care for how Serra handled the situation with his fighters having to fight each other. Hughes was right that it wasn't very professional. He should've cornered the guys that stayed and the other guys shouldn't have been allowed to train with Serra when they were moved to Huges team. I can understand Serra's feelings about it, but you have to be a professional.

I wouldn't say I lost respect for him though. Feel the same as before. He's not one of my favourites, but he's alright.

I agree 100% He is so annoying it isn't funny. I know they pick what parts they put on TV, but how old do you have to be to say the same ignorant insults that many times. It gets old. He is lucky to have gotten the title in the first place. If it wasn't for him being on TUF, he would not have made it to a title shot yet or possibly never would have.

The whole situation with him not cornering any of his fighters against each other was just stupid. He makes it out to be some travesty that only he has to suffer through. If I'm not mistaken, this has happened almost every season of TUF in which there was a lopsided number of wins. What a douche.

*though it was nice not to have to hear his loud as shit voice during the fight.

If the way it's been edited was taken at face value then yes, I would have lost respect for him, but it's quite blatant that it shouldn't be. I don't understand most of the comments about him either. Believe it or not, he is actually a good fighter, his BJJ is excellent and he's got heavy hands. What do you want out of a guy ffs? The only time he's been stopped was Shonie & he was winning before that wild HL. As for his arrogance, I think when EVERYONE didn't give you a look in with winning the title and you do win (in convincing fashion) then you've got every right to be arrogant to a certain degree. Cue the BS excuses why he beat Georges....

Honestly, sometimes it's like a kids playground on these forums when you hear the unsubstantiated reasons for disliking a guy.

I never really liked Serra before, he made some good points, but his entire unprofessional round about way for his coaching really annoyed me.

Matt Hughes is no saint either, literally, IMO he crossed the line when he started pushing religion on his team.

Starting Weight: 390.
Hope to update soon!
