way to many fights lately have been won by a couple takedowns and just holding the guy down. Thats gonna kill the sport, hate it or love it. Pride would stand the fighters up in the right period of time, give the guy 20 seconds to better his position, if not....stand em up. Thats why almost every card u hear boo's throughout alot of the fights, plain and simple its not what the fans want to see some guys holding position and throwing the occasional punch or elbow.

To be honest,I was rooting for Tommy. You have to admire somebody lacking the skills but with balls and determination like that. He's also a veritable sponge. If you guys heard,he followed or atleast tried to follow, each and every bit of advice that his corner was shouting out to him.Something that the rets of Hughes' team hasn't done all that often this season.Underside hooks, head on his opponent's chest, elbows, etc.
I agree with Dana. This guy will keep learning and improving. He's just 24 so a couple of years with a good camp will work wonders for him.

F*ck you! I enjoy mma and always will. Save your suggestions for someone who gives a f*ck.

On a side note. I guess the fight has different opinions depending on who you were going for. As i wasnt going for Tommy it was frustrating watching him simply hold Ben down who was trying all sorts of submissions.

I guess "for me", striking and submissions are far more exciting to watch than wrestling (ie Tito)
