I've Come Straight To The Internet To Complain!
LOL Just playin'
But seriously, another snorefest via lay and pray, I mean, he got out of the submissions which was great, really impressive really, but omg, he didn't pass his guard, he barely tried.
I think Mazagatti felt he needed to stand it up because Serra and his guys were yelling and crap lol

agreed. im not too impressed with tommy. he's like sherk. he can wrestle and get people down, but once he has a dominant position he can't do anything with it.

Seems to me like he was dropping bombs whenever he could. Do you ever stop to think that perhaps some of you are a bit too hard on these fighters? It seems to me like some of you expect to see Randy Couture or Anderson Silva like performances from these kids, but they're all inexperienced, and just starting out their careers. They bring in young talents so as to see whom has the most potential to be great, and they mold them from there.
Tommy may not be a Silva or a Couture, but he definitely has the potential to be something, as was evidenced by his pulling out of two tight submission holds, and dominating the fight in general. And did you see the other fighter's face? Well, I doubt it got that way with two full rounds of lay and pray, am I right? Some of you need to ease up.

Whats the point of a fight, when all a dude has to do to win is get 2-3 takedowns.
UFC REALLY needs the yellow card system

After the last fight with Tommy, I wasn't impressed in the slightest. I thought he did better in this fight than in the previous. He was throwing harder blows and not those baby punches and basically dominated Ben. People are overly critical on these fighters. They are early in their careers and some of them with the right camp/training could be a force someday. I agree with Dana that Tommy could be with the proper training camp. He seems to be a good wrestler, but he needs some work on stand up and advancing his position on the ground.

Ya I guess my statement took some credt away from his skill, which is not what I meant. I was more impressed with the fact he was upset he couldn't finish the fight, which tells me he'll try to do so in the future, or at least train in what is stopping him from finishing.
SO yeah, he is talented, don't get me wrong, I was just bored watching another decision.

Tommy may be raw, but he's a talent for sure. If you can't enjoy watching an inexperienced fighter that has the ability to power out of pretty deep submissions, you'd be better off watching something else on TV. This show obviously isn't for you.

I agree but he is also way worse of a wrestler than sherk. His striking isn't impressive either.
