Ben Saunders got his shit tossed. He had the arm bar soo deep and then to come out of it straight into a tight triangle? Jesus. Ben Saunders has decent submissions, but his standup sucked, I mean how many times did Tommy take him down? 5?

Impressed with Tommy, this guy just does not stop! Very good judgement by the ref, would of been a great shame if he had stopped it. Much respect given to the ref there!

Yeah, wrestlers like it on the ground a bit and it can be boring, but its no reason to NOT want to see Tommy again. Thats up to other fighters to train on the ground, avoid take downs, submit from the bottom, learn how to get back up. If they cant its tuff shit really.

For those who don't think Tommy Speer can finish a fight just look at his stats. You will not always finish a fight. Just to let you all know I picked Tommy to be in the finals from the very beginning. I guess will find out.

Ben Vs. Tommy, Great fight, Both did 100 percent plus, Ben got tommy in a full on locked arm bar and Tommy got out! Then nearly a triangle and once again the powerhouse Tommy defended. Ben had some good kicks, Although none landed, at one point when Ben did kick and tommy go for the take down and Ben did do the flying knee but did not connect and then get Tommy in mount, was pretty cool to watch for me, This would probley be my favorite fight, I hope that Tommy knocks out George next week, as he's said, he hasn't what he calls 'Finish' someone yet, Both of his fights have been to descison, I hope he Knocks out George 1st round.

Fedcro...AWESOME FIGHT!!!

I liked the fight, for a fight between two young guys.

I felt Ben kept Tommy ineffective on top for the most part and that Ben gassed a bit early due to his breathing.

If Tommy gets in a Hughes like camp where they focus on conditioning over technique, I never need to see the guy again. He's definitely a talent, but without a ton more technique training he's just not going to be interesting to what I like to watch.

Ben definitely needs to wind up in a camp where he's the worst guy there and just be driven to improve on all levels. He's already very well rounded and having to improve everywhere would turn him into a hell of an exciting fighter.

I was not really impressed with Geroge's stand up.

If farm boy can work on his stand up and work from his back (just incase) he will kick George's ass.

He does need some more technique, you cant just bully yourself through every fight.

If that ref was Big John he would of stopped the fight because I remeber a fight it was din thomas vs jeremy stephens where Din had a armybar locked in and big john ended the fight before jeremy tapped.
My thought is that Din Thomas probably had a much more effective armbar, and Big John probably heard it pop before Jeremy would tap. Even though Ben had a beautiful armbar, he didn't raise his pelvis, which would have hyperextended Tommy's arm a lot further. I would have liked Ben to win, but man, he had nothing after the first round. I'm always skeptical when a fighter is suddenly sick the day of the fight, but he sounded pretty bad and gassed horribly by the end of the first. I can't imagine trying to fight without breathing through the nose. Anyway, Tommy only impressed me with his determination and refusal to tap. Other than that, I didn't think Tommy did much to win that fight other than take Ben down, which was pretty lame since he didn't do anything after that. I do believe Tommy has potential, but I think Ben has more. Plus I like Ben's attitude, especially after the fight, pretending to cry, "I almost won it!" We'll see him again.
