Mac Danzig vs. Nick Diaz

if mac was to get down to his natural wieght of 155 who do yous all think would win between him and Nick Diaz TUF lightweight winner???

Me personally think if mac got down to his natural weight he would be alot quicker and take it to Diaz pretty well. Not to mention the fact that i really wasnt impressed with Diaz in TUF 5.

I was wondering where you were going with this in the title, but it was Nick Diaz's brother Nate that won the Lightweight TUF 5 season.

That would change my answer completely, because if Mac and Nate fought, I would give the victory to Mac, simply because he has been very impressive in his career, and he just seems like he would be too much to handle for Nate at this point in his career.

On the other hand, if Mac were to fight Nick, I feel that Nick would come out with the win. Nick beat Gomi, Lawler, etc., and although Mac has experience, his only true test on a big stage to my knowledge is a loss to Hayato Sakurai at PRIDE 33 earlier this year. If Nick doesn't get cut again, I see him getting the victory.

Well Nate probably couldnt stand with Mac but he DEFINITLY has the Jiu-Jitsu to submit him. I wouldnt even try to call this fight personally it'd be fun to watch though.

You guys are frogetting he trains with his brother, who has ridiculous stand up and was (IDK if he still is) an ametaure boxer. I really think Nate would beat Mac in this one.

Lol you could have just quoted me but yeah I guess your right he did rock him but really I jsut don't see Nate taking this fight if it stays on the feet. Tis jsut my oppinion though.

Nicks standup is good but not ridiculously good, I think mac probably has better standup (than nate), on the ground it's harder. I think mac has better ground striking and control but nate has better jits, overall I think nate probably has a slight edge on the ground. It would be a good close fight and I couldn't pick a winner.
